and locked up at the county jail charged with the theft of two hogs Hog stealing ap ¬ pears on the jail blotter after his name Strong had nothing to say in expla ¬ nation of the discovery on his place ot two stolen porkers but when it was mentioned that he was thinking- of his Thanksgiving and late Christ- mas ¬ feasts his row ivories became prominent for the lips spread and they gleamed through the thick lips brilliantly- The hogs were missed from the premises of a gentleman In the Cot ¬ tage Hill neighborhood a few days since it was explained and a search was made for them Evidence pointed- out that Strong knew a lot about th < missing porkers and when a deputy sheriff started to look the place of the negro over the hogs were found The negro was Immediately arrested and was brought here
