What is Knowledge
Management “Systems” ?
Social/Structural mechanisms (e.g., mentoring
and retreats, etc.) for promoting knowledge
sharing.
Leading-edge information technologies (e.g.,
Web-based conferencing) to support KM
mechanisms.
Knowledge management systems (KMS): the
synergy between social/structural mechanisms
and latest technologies.

Culture-Based KS (1) sikap individu (attitude at
individual level),
(2) sikap grup (attitude at group level),
(3) saluran komunikasi, dan
(4) kebijakan organisasi sebagai promotor bagi-guna pengetahuan.

Learning & research-Based KS

PHASES OF KNOWLEDGE SHARING
Citation Index & Analysis
A citation index is a kind of bibliographic database, an index of citations between publications, allowing the user to easily establish which later documents cite which earlier documents.
Citation analysis is the examination of the
frequency, patterns, and graphs of citations in articles and books. It uses citations in scholarly works to establish links to other works or other researchers. Citation analysis is one of the most widely used methods of bibliometrics.
11
Automated Citation Indexing
Automated citation indexing has changed the nature of citation analysis research, allowing millions of citations to be analyzed for large scale patterns and knowledge discovery. The first example of automated citation indexing was CiteSeer, later to be followed by Google Scholar.
Journal Ranking Metrics
SJR= SCImago Journal Rank
SNIP= Source Normalized Impact per Paper
12
SJR
SCImago Journal Rank (SJR), is a measure of the scientific prestige of scholarly sources: value of weighted citations per document. A source transfers its own 'prestige', or status, to another source through the act of citing it. A citation from a source with a relatively high SJR is worth more than a citation from a source with a lower SJR
SNIP
Source Normalized Impact per Paper (SNIP) measures contextual citation impact by weighting citations based on the total number of citations in a subject field. The impact of a single citation is given higher value in subject areas where citations are less likely, and vice versa.
