Brainstorming

• We had done a session for finding out the key words

which is associated with pencil sharpener.

• Then we had to categorise these adjectives and key

words into different list.

• Those words were based on the functionality, look and

various cues that we can relate to the pencil sharpener as

a whole.

• In those word we had to first analyse that on the context

of pencil sharpener and then we had to associate it and

write it and draw the outlook of the sharpener that we

thought on the basis of that word.

Product Analysis

• I have built the product by taking care of the fun and

engagement activities of the kids and students

• Whenever they will be sharpening their pencils with the

pencil sharpener, this product will urge them to do

something new with it.

• They can use it as their toy and play with it by rotating it

along the arm of the lock sharpener.

• Safety issues is taken full care of in the product , as the

sharpening blade will be inside the whole product.

• The product has been with non hazardous (stainless steel

or plastics) and eco friendly materials like, jute etc.

Function Analysis

• This product has been made in the perspective for making

sharpening of pencil more fun than ever for the kids and

students, who will be using pencil for their writing.

• They can sharpen the pencil by just doing it in the normal

way of rotating the pencil inside the whole where the

blade is their or they can just rotate the lock arm and

rotate it with their fingers which will make the pencil inside

the hole get sharpened.

• It can be used as a substitute to toy as it resembles the

lock and key version.

• The sharpener will be having a storage capacity where

the waste of the pencil is gathered and disposed later.
