Creates and develops relaonships with the same organizaons in the region and beyond. / 5. Promotes and establishes cooperaon with other countries for rural development. / 6. Provides professional help to its members. / 7. Cooperates with other organizaons operang in the rural development sector sustainable tourism. FIELD OF ACTION: The main areas in which the LAG operates are diverse, but parcular emphasis should be placed on economic growth for the community through mutual co-operaon, creaon of new jobs for the community, sustainable land management and protecon, development of sustainable agriculture, diversificaon of acvies, structural implementaon and market design, intervenons in the maintenance of cultural heritage buildings, creaon of a regional center for sustainable rural development etc. The LAG also contributes to the development of sustainable rural tourism through the diversificaon of culture and recreaon with rural development, to develop unique offers that offer unforgeable experiences. MISSION: The Local Acon Group "Agroturizmi" in Peja has a mission in partnership with all other stakeholders from the public and private sector as well as civil society to contribute to creang the condions and opportunies for sustainable rural and economic development in the municipality of Peja. LAG "Agroturizmi" will engage through its programs in human capacity building, rural infrastructure development and promoon of sustainable rural development. Peja is a city in the west of Kosovo and is an administrave center in the Dukagjini region, which borders with Istog, Klinë and Deçan with municipal boundaries, while Montenegro with state borders. It is known as a unique city in Kosovo with the largest green area where 603 km2 of the Peja area, 52% includes forests and pastures, 38% are ferle, while only the city has about 10% of this territory. Therefore, based on these potenal, the two main pillars idenfied in the "Municipal Development Plan 2006-2025" for the development of the Peja municipality are agriculture and tourism. Peja as a municipality is very unique in Kosovo for its many natural beaues such as Rugova Gorge, Drini i Bardhë and Lumbardhi rivers, waterfalls, caves, lakes and other mountain and field terrains which provide very good condions for the development of rural tourism, adventure and outdoor recreaon. Therefore, all these unique features found in Peja offer opportunies for all visitors and nature lovers to spend me in this country experiencing these beaues.

Sustainable rural development is a challenge in which the LAG "Agroturizmi" works in order to create more favorable condi�ons for achieving the quality of products in the municipality of Peja. To achieve this, the LAG intervenes in different areas of agriculture through programs that have an impact on increasing the knowledge and experience of local residents for the cul�va�on of agricultural products, advocacy and interven�on through donor projects in building infrastructure for development agricultural products, promo�on of local agricultural products and awareness of local inhabitants about the importance and benefits of consuming local agricultural products.
LAG also provides advice and ideas to farmers on how to improve the quality of their products and how to increase produc�vity in products with the latest European methods; informs about events and fairs that take place in Kosovo and Europe, informs on the development of new technologies in agriculture as well as the possibili�es of applying for funds or various dona�ons for farm development.
RURAL DEVELOPMENTSustainable tourism development poses a challenge to involving different actors in sustainable development. It requires a wide involvement of the various sectors that coordinate their ac�vi�es for a greater success in des�na�on management and promo�on of tourism offerings.The Municipality of Peja has great opportuni�es for tourism development, all thanks to the natural and cultural poten�als it possesses like Rugova Gorge, Rugova Lake, Drin's spring with its a�rac�ve waterfall; two rivers: the White Drin and Lumbardhi, which runs along the city center; cultural facili�es like towers and characteris�c old town houses; religious facili�es such as mosques, churches, hammams, old bazaars, as well as an offer of accommoda�on and transport services that is highly coordinated and which together create a diversity of tourist offers. Therefore, by evalua�ng these poten�al with the LAG's strategy, it is envisaged that along with rural development priority should be given to the development of rural and mountain tourism and to create an a�rac�ve offer that will affect sustainable development by u�lizing these poten�als in the most responsible manner.
TOURISM DEVELOPMENTOne of the most important and priority objec�ves of the local ac�on group in the municipality of Pejë is to ac�vate the community in various ini�a�ves for rural sustainable development. Therefore, through the programs they develop, the LAG always focuses on integra�ng the local community into these processes with sel f- in i�a�ve and strengthening the community's decision-making idea.The LAG community is engaged in various sectors that are composed of the public, private and civil society sectors. The community includes various profiles of professions such as agriculture experts, agronomists, experts on sustainable environmental development, economists, rural and mountain tourism experts, cultural and heritage experts, traders as well as other members who have many years of experience in the development of agriculture and tourism that all together achieve a coordina�on and diversifica�on of poten�als for sustainable and responsible development for new genera�ons. Therefore, thanks to the goodwill and willingness of LAG members to engage in ac�vi�es, we have managed to influence a sustainable development through the community.
