It has been a little over 20 years since my brother and I took a chance and drove from Atlanta to San Antonio to attend the Pedorthic Footwear Annual Symposium. We were presenting a concept for stretchable orthopedic shoes and hoped our ideas would be well received. Fortunately, the PFA community could not have been more welcoming. We met a bunch of really cool Pedorthists who were generous enough to share with us their front line experience and they encouraged us to go into production. The rest as they say is history and the Pedors shoe brand was launched. We tagged ourselves “the Pedorthic Shoe Company” - a company that relied on and listened to the advice and input from the PEDorthists and ORthotistS we work with.
