This is a simple but powerful healing technique, as it can completely transform even an extremely intense negative experience within 1-3 minutes. For the most part, I use it to quickly deal with anger, frustration or other negative emotions. However, in my coaching practice, I have used it with clients who underwent intense traumas, such as physical abuse, phobias, anxiety attacks or suicidal attempts. Here are the instructions for the technique. Read FAQ for more detail.

    1. Replay in your mind the upsetting experience. Select a peak moment in your visualization (with a lot of charge) and create a static snapshot of it. This can be an emotional charge, visual charge or a body sensation charge.

    2. Rate the upsetting experience on a scale of 0-10, 10 being the most upsetting.

    3. Now close your eyes and imagine that you see this STATIC emotionally-charged snapshot in front of you.

    4. Then, using the index finger of your dominant, leading hand, extend your hand and stick your index finger right in the middle of that snapshot.

    5. Keep your eyes closed. Now, standing or sitting in the swivel chair, start turning counter-clockwise. Focus your attention on your feelings, while

pulling in front of you a completely STATIC visual snapshot at the end of your extended finger. It is very important to keep the image static (not a moment before, nor the moment after), swinging it around at the end of your finger and allowing yourself to feel as intensely as possible. Don't worry about focusing on your traumatic experience, as your emotions will be dissipating quickly.

    6. Keep spinning counterclockwise, to the left, until you turn 3.5 times, while pulling the image at the end of your extended finger. Spin as fast as you comfortably can, without getting dizzy or nauseous, but not too slow either. Again, the snapshot must be static, outside not inside your body. Some people report that it is better

Because the emotions transform so fast in the Spinner, your mind at first will be confused doubtful of your new emotional state. Do not worry; just stabilize your news state with expansion and light as described below. Your mind will catch up with you soon after.

to actually picture yourself in the snapshot (as opposed to looking through your own eyes at the upsetting experience). As for me, I find it more powerful when I picture the situation through my own eyes. Try both ways and pick whichever works better for you.

    7. Now, re-evaluate the intensity of your emotional and body reaction to the experience on a scale from 0-10. If it is not completely gone, run the process again, but beginning with the new number.

    8. Otherwise, if it's rated 0-1, stabilize your new positive state, which can be peace, neutrality, silence, pleasant emptiness by expanding it in all directions from inside out. Then, imagine a small sun above your head that fills you with light from the top of your head to your feet, clearing your from the energetic left-overs of your negative experience.

This technique was developed by a Serbian mystic, author, teacher and psychologist Zhivorad Mihailovich Slavinski.

At first, you may experience a state of confusion, but this is normal. Where there used to be an emotional reaction, now there is emptiness, and it is a new feeling, so it can be a bit disorienting. Plus you just spun yourself (kidding). But don't worry; allow this new state to spread through your whole body with the light. Now even though you remember the experience, you are not affected by the emotional reaction it created. Description Traumatic experiences can have a scarring effect on your whole life. So carrying the memory of such events is detrimental to expressing your full potential. In order to cope with such events, mind has a tendency of creating limiting negative beliefs about the world and ourselves: I deserved it, The world is a cruel place, People only want to hurt me, etc. By transforming your negative experiences, you transform your belief system. Your expectations change and your reality changes. So prepare yourself for a consciousness shift using this technique. Tips

Choose a single specific event, not a general situation.

To be most effective, select a single event to work on, do not work with general situations. For example I hate my boss is too much of a general blanket statement. Ask yourself what specific event(s) made you hate him/her. Then work on each event that contributed to your general reaction.

Fully associate yourself with your traumatic experience.

Feel the experience as full as possible when you are processing it with the Spinner technique. Even exaggerate it a little bit on the first spin. The better you associate with your experience, the deeper and faster it will be transformed.

Do a Consciousness Cleanse I talk about this in my Webinar Consciousness Leap System and in my other lectures (check them out at http://www.staastao.com). The idea is to go through all of your unpleasant, upsetting, traumatic experiences in your whole life. You can do it chronologically or by areas of life (relationships, career, family) or by the levels of intensity (all traumatic events ranking 10, then 9, etc.) FAQ What if I have several similar traumatic events that keep repeating? Start with the very first one you remember or the most intense one. Then continue in the same fashion either the earliest one or the most intense one. After you clear a critical number of them, the pattern will dissolve. What if I am anxious about a future situation, where there is no snapshot yet? Usually we are anxious that events will transpire in such a way that would be most hurtful and detrimental. Imagine and visualize exactly that situation, as if it already happened. Rate the intensity of your fear with such outcome. And use the Spinner.
