Pearl and Dean

We had to do some background work from a professional audience research site called Pearl and Dean and this then helped us get an accurate representation of our audience. They categorise their audiences into three different groups, Age, Social Class and Gender. The target audience we had in mind were the age’s 15-19 year olds and a social class ABC1, but with the female gender having the most majority than males by a 60% to a 40% split. By looking at the graphs above, I believe that we have picked correctly from looking at the percentages from the four different graphs above which I got from their website. As by the graphs, it shows that we picked the majority groups, it especially shows this in graph one. Originally the age group we first decided on was 45-54 because we thought that older people would take it more seriously but because of the low percentage of this age group, it put us of the idea and decided to go with the age group, which tended to get the highest percentage.

We had to do some background work from a professional audience research site called

Pearl and Dean and this then helped us get an accurate representation of our audience.

They categorise their audiences into three different groups, Age, Social Class and Gender.

The target audience we had in mind were the age’s 15-19 year olds and a social class ABC1,

but with the female gender having the most majority than males by a 60% to a 40% split.

By looking at the graphs above, I believe that we have picked correctly from looking at the

percentages from the four different graphs above which I got from their website. As by the

graphs, it shows that we picked the majority groups, it especially shows this in graph one.

Originally the age group we first decided on was 45-54 because we thought that older

people would take it more seriously but because of the low percentage of this age group, it

put us of the idea and decided to go with the age group, which tended to get the highest

percentage.

We made our own graphs, which is also categorised into three different groups, which is

also age, social class and gender. This helped us have a better idea of are own target

audience.
