1 Financial Planning Review Call for Papers Overview CFP Board Center for Financial Planning is pleased to announce the creation of a new, peer- reviewed academic journal aimed at showcasing high quality, rigorous scholarly research. This new scholarly publication, Financial Planning Review, will feature peer-reviewed research within financial planning, as well as disciplines that directly or indirectly relate to the financial planning body of knowledge or financial planning practice. In addition to Financial Planning, these topics include, but are not limited to: Portfolio Choice Behavioral Finance Household Finance Psychology and Human Decision-making Financial Therapy and Wellness Consumer Finance and Regulation Human Sciences Financial Planning Review, published by Wiley, seeks to maximize academic impact through the publication of rigorous and relevant research using a timely double-blind peer-review by respected researchers from a variety of subject areas. International visibility and practical impact will be achieved by disseminating the Review to nearly 80,000 CFP ® professionals nationwide, helping them to better serve the public through competent and ethical financial planning. The Review focuses on publishing empirical and methodological analyses related to the disciplines of financial planning. Appropriate quantitative and qualitative methodological research is welcomed.

We encourage submissions from across multiple forms of methodological inquiry, including – but not limited to – statistical analyses, qualitative analysis, measurement of phenomena, experiments, and other empirical methods to answering research questions. Submission Process Starting October 5, 2017, original manuscripts can be submitted using the Financial Planning Review submission system at https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/fpr. Submitted papers must be in accordance with the requirements of Financial Planning Review. Editorial Team Submitted papers will be subject to a review from scholars from across the eight content areas, ensuring that papers will be subject to an appropriate review from individuals with an expertise in both the content area of the paper as well as the research methodology.
