c) Participation in Career Events Sponsored by Educational Institutions

Guest Instructor Epic Academy Semester 1 Winter Intensives “News Careers Course” Date: February 2017 Personnel Involved: WBBM(AM) General Sales Manager The WBBM(AM) General Sales Manager mentored students at Epic Academy in Chicago about careers in broadcasting/news during a week long seminar. The General Sales Manager provided insight to students regarding on-air broadcasting, and other professional/career advice relating to careers in broadcasting/media.

Teacher at Columbia College Chicago Date: Ongoing Personnel involved: WXRT-FM On-Air Personality A WXRT-FM On-Air Personality teaches a History of Rock and Soul class for the Broadcasting Department at Columbia College Chicago. During the reporting period she taught in excess of several classes/sessions.

Dates: Ongoing

Personnel: All Sales Employees and Managers; Conducted by SVP Sales Training and Development The Employment Unit has ongoing sales training for its managers and other sales employees. The training addresses a range of skills including sales planning, strategic sales planning, and execution, all of which are designed to encourage career development and to enable station personnel to acquire skills that could qualify them for higher level positions.

Employment Unit employees, including management-level personnel, participated in CBS Corporation’s Compliance Training Program, which included online training regarding the Corporation’s Business Conduct Statement, ethical business practices, appropriate workplace conduct and preventing sexual harassment and employment discrimination. All full time Employment Unit employees received the 2012 CBS Corporation Business Conduct Statement in July 2012 and were required to complete related online training during the period October to November 2012. In addition, all full time Employment Unit employees received the 2014 CBS Corporation Business Conduct Statement in September 2014 and are required to complete related online training by October 15, 2014. Employment Unit employees, including management-level personnel, also received copies of the CBS Corporation compliance newsletter (Compliance Up Close) and short video vignettes on the following subjects: anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws, diversity at CBS and business travel and expenses. In addition, all full-time employees were required to take the “Preventing Sexual Harassment in Today’s Workplace” online course and all supervisory managers were required to complete “Addressing Sexual Harassment in Today’s Workplace” by September 2013.
