Quick-change gears are standard, so you
can easily convert your mixer for a new assignment, should
your process change.
Splash lubricated, spiral bevel gears
are precision generated and
match lapped for quiet running.
Motors are standard foot mounted, totally enclosed or explo-sion proof.
Series 90 mixers are stocked for both open and closed tank use. Closed tank model, shown, has a stuffing box for 150 psi service.
•
2 Two ways to
quick-pick for quick-ship •
1. Call your tightnin Sales Engineer. He's listed on the back cover. Tell him what you want to mix and the tank you want to mix it in. He'll pick and price your mixer while you wait. Give him the go ahead, and your order is entered for shipment from stock.
2. Make your own selection.
Just follow the directions that lead to a 7-digit model number. That selects a mixer already built and in stock ready for your process. Call your Lightnin Sales Engineer and tell him the model number. He'll verify your selection, so Lightnin can guarantee performance results 100%. He'll also give you the current price and enter your order for shipment from stock.
Lightnin Series 90
StandardsLightnin stocks Series 90 mixers from 1 to 15 hp for volumes ranging from 2,500 to 30,000 U.S. gallons. •

See page 4 to determine whether your working volume should be considered "square" or "tall." You can also use the top row of the Blending Table on page 5 or the Solids Suspension Table on page 6 as guidelines for typical batch dimensions.
For blending Determine the intensity of mixing action required using the guide-
r
lines on page 4. Then plot the working volume and viscosity, using the Blending Table on page 5. Pick the first 4 digits of your model number and enter them in the order block below. For solids suspension Decide whether your process needs off-bottom [ suspension or uniform suspension, using the guidelines on page 6. Then plot the working volume and settling velocity, using the graph and table. Pick the first 4 digits of your model number and enter them in the order block below.
