All Volunteer Southern Ocean Chapter’s 13th Annual Fishing Tournament

James’ Special Dream Come True... James, 18 years old, is from Baldwin, WI and has chronic kidney disease. Sunshine recently answered James’ dream of a shopping spree. James sent this message to Sunshine with his photo: "Sunshine has made me feel special and lifted my spirit in an immense way. While I play with my brand new electronics, it has helped me to take my mind off my conditions. You have shown me that someone else ...cares about me. My dream would never have come true without you. I had a lot of fun on my shop-ping spree!"

Sunshine Foundation’s All Volunteer Southern Ocean Chapter hosted their 13th Annual Fishing Tournament at Great Bay Marina in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Our sincere appreciation and thanks to the All Volunteer Southern Ocean Chapter, Great Bay Marina, the fishermen participants, volunteers and sponsors! Because of your great efforts, Carol Ann’s dream of a family trip to the Dream Village and the Orlando attractions will come true! Carol Ann and her family were special guests at the Tournament. She is 12 years old and has cerebral palsy. Her family is from Barnegat, NJ. The event raised over $23,000 and will answer dreams for Carol Ann and other children on Sunshine’s waiting list. 204 boats competed in the tournament! Kathryn’s dream has been answered thanks to a grant awarded to Sunshine by the Commonwealth of PA acting through the Department of Community & Economic Development. Kathryn dreamed of visiting the Dream Village and the Orlando attractions. Kathryn is from Coatesville, PA and has cerebral palsy. Kathryn is one of many children from PA, who will have their dreams answered thanks to the generosity of the Commonwealth of PA.

Sunshine Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) organization, is dedicated to answering the dreams of children who are chronically ill, physically challenged or have been abused. Sunshine proudly uses over 84% of its donations received for its children’s programs. This publication is produced, assembled and distributed by staff and volunteers to reduce costs.

The All Volunteer Mercer County Chapter of Sunshine Foundation has once again held their Annual Sunshine Foundation Fastpitch Invitational! This year’s beneficiary is Jennifer. Jennifer is 5 years old and has cerebral palsy. She is from Hamilton, NJ. Jennifer and her family will go on a dream come true trip to visit the Orlando theme parks in September! The family will stay at Sunshine Foundation’s Dream Village. Sunshine Foundation thanks the participating teams, sponsors, and volunteers for making this tournament possible every year.
