The quality of restoration has ensured thatUpminster Court has lost none of its originalcharm and character. It is a marvellousexample of fine Edwardian architecture, withfeatures that have been sensitively restored.It is a learning facility that cannot bematched for ambience, facilities and style.

Facilitation rooms and technologies :

A variety of rooms throughout the buildingprovide large or more intimate places tolearn. All rooms are equipped with the latestIT facilities, and secure wireless access isavailable throughout the buildings andgrounds.

A business centre is available, where visitorscan work privately, access the internet anduse the colour laser printers, scanner andcopiers. Located in the old attic room, this isoften where people retreat to for privatestudy, research and reflection.

Dining hall and catering :

A glass-roofed open-plan dining hall willformally seat 175 delegates, but also providesan opportunity for more relaxed buffet styleevents that promote networking andappraisal.

The boardroom, with its large formal table,can be used either for senior managementdining or for meetings.

Set in eight acres of landscaped gardens Upminster Court isa fine example of Edwardian architecture. The restoration ofthis building has been finely executed using high qualityfinishes and materials. The house’s character is distinctive of its period and the original 1905 style issensitively enhanced in each of the bedroomsand guest suites. The painstakingly restoredinterior and exterior spaces are supported bya discreet infrastructure of moderntechnology.

The Supply Chain Academy is the perfectplace for learning, reflection and thoughtdevelopment and its ease of access makes it the ideal location, for both national andinternational guests.

Upminster Court

The property was designed by Sir CharlesReilly as a private residence for theindustrialist and entrepreneur ArthurWilliams. The commission was completed in 1905.

In January 2007 the property was purchasedto accommodate and develop the SupplyChain Academy and in so doing, a detailedand scrupulous restoration of thismagnificent Edwardian building and groundswas undertaken.

The future is bright.

The blueprint for a brand new Supply Chainand Logistics Academy is being planned aspart of the development of the new LondonGateway port and logistics park. ThisAcademy will be able to host a range oftraining and development programmes forbeginners through to senior management.The facility is the most modern and state ofthe art of its kind and will be at the heart of Europe’s largest logistics park.

Upminster Court will remain the centre of excellence for executive training andthought leadership.
