The Graduate School will provide to the Bureau of Private Enterprise (PRE) (and through that Bureau), to USAID Missions, to Regional Bureaus in Washington, and to entities/institutions in LDCs, management specialists in the areas of entrepreneurial development, and evaluation.
Professionals obtained through the RSSA will work with PRE on short and medium term basis as appropriate to the sefvices to be provided,
Several of the types and areas of training, technical and management assistance identified below will be required on a continuing basis over the life of the RSSA and will require working closely with PRE staff. These may include assistance in training, program, and project analysis, design, administration, management, evaluation and/or applied research, as well as providing guidance on matters concerned with the involvement of private enterprise to overseas AID missions and AID/W.

Professionals will work on improving the performance of institutions and organizations which provide credit, technical and managerial assistance to the private sector, and on providing advice to missions concerning the improvement of management performance of LDC private sector organizations.
Examples of some of the areas in which assistance will be ptovlded to USAID Missions and LDC governments include:

- Investment Environment: Identify policy, legal and regulatory changes needed to impr.ove the climate for investment.
- Investment Promotion: Identify and meet short-term management/vocational training and technical assistance requirements as related to entrepreneurial problem solving.
- Project Financinq: Identify specific private, . for-profit business projects to receive AID loan funds,
- sxport Promotion: Identify and sromote non-traditional export products which have high local value added.
- Technology Transfer: Identify and assist in the transfer of technologies appropriate for the particular country environment with a focus on agriczltural agribusiness and alternative energy.
