    The Pecaut Centre for Social Impact was founded to capture the spirit of the late David Pecaut, a civic entrepreneur

    who launched Career Edge and co-founded the Luminato Festival. The Centre convenes the talent, capital, and

    knowledge of private sector leaders who are dedicated to social change, cultivating Canadas next generation of

    social innovators.

    The Centre invests in high potential charities that are fostering scalable solutions to some of the most pressing

    challenges facing our community. It aligns strategic support to carefully selected organizations over multiple years.

This is a unique opportunity to blend your business experience with your passion for broad social progress. The Centre is seeking a Program Manager who is hands-on and passionate about people and driving social causes. This is an opportunity for a strategic business leader who is adept at project management and problem solving. Working with the Executive Director, the individual will identify and develop charities ready to expand their social reach. KEY DELIVERABLES:

    1. Overall responsibility for the successful management of 2-3 portfolio charities

    2. Work directly with the Centres investments, helping them to identify and pursue top priorities, execute plans to maximize social impact, implement metrics and tracking, and overall capacity building in their organizations

    3. Support the screening and due diligence for prospective investments, assessing organizations with respect to potential social impact, scalability, fit and leadership

    4. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders QUALIFICATIONS:

    Demonstrated passion for the potential to generate massive social impact and foster the development and funding of social enterprises and charities

    Experience investing in or consulting to fast-growing entrepreneurial organizations, especially social enterprises

    Demonstrated track record in leadership roles, ideally in an entrepreneurial organization. Outstanding analytical, decision-making and communication skills

    Ability to cultivate broad networks, engage with thought leaders, advisors, and industry innovators in order to identify and evaluate high potential social entrepreneurs and charities

    Ability to juggle multiple priorities and tight time frames while producing exceptional deliverables

    Demonstrated ability to analyze data, synthesize information, and present organized conclusions and recommendations

    Graduate degree

  • PROFILES: You may have a background similar to one or more of these profiles:

    Experience working in a venture capital organization, assessing the merits of business investment opportunities, and you have always had a passion to support social and charitable causes

    Management experience in a well-established charity

    Management consulting experience advising high growth organizations

    A business leader with a hands-on approach, financial acumen and a proven track record of charitable and volunteer interests
