2.7 Vehicle Tracking System

The PCS Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) is a fusion of hardware, wireless communication andsoftware solutions that allows real-time tracking of vehicles/assets and provides elaboratesecurity and comprehensive telemetric controls. The Architecture of VTS is using the latestWireless communication system for communicating with Vehicle's Black box and providesusers, a wide range of controlling options remotely by click of a mouse.

VTS System Application is widely targeted forCorporate Enterprises where the solution isoffered in various flavors depending on the sizeof the Enterprises. These solutions are offeredas Enterprise solution, Managed Solution andalso as ASP. The flexibility to easily integratewith existing back end systems has made VTSto apply in a variety of applications coveringwide range of industries. Online Monitoring of the vehicle usingGPS and GPRS technology enables thecustomers to continuously monitor thevehicle to understand the progress patternof the vehicle this scientific data helps inmodeling the ETA and plan/schedule thedelivery or manage the fleet effectively.

The application also provides the optionto analyze the historical data at any givenpoint in time by using the History

tracking option. The user can select thetime band or trip to analyze the data,visualize the route traversed. Thepopulated visual data can provide valuable information on the route taken, destination covered orhalt locations.

Standard set of reports graphs and analysis that are regularly used by the customers acrosstransportation vertical are built in as part of the solution. How ever the customized reports aredeveloped and integrated with the solution on cased to case

basis. Standard reports like Activityreport, speed graph, stop report, tripsummary report, speed and stopviolation report, total distance traveledreports help in controlling the fleet withscientific approach.

Alerts in the form of online alert or Email canbe configured at the Application server tointimate the customer in case of any violationto the specified rules. The over stoppage alert,Route violation/ geo fencing violation alerts,Emergency button activation or any other

sensor activation notification can be sent tothe customer in the predefined mode ofemergency communication. The vehicletracking system also capable of Two wayvoice communication where in users cancommunicate with each other at any givenpoint in time.
