    Welcome to Good Shepherd Chapel

    Scriptureher value is far beyond pearls. (Proverbs 31:10)Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine (Psalm 128:3)For all of you are children of the light (1 Thessalonians 5:5)Since you were faithful in small matters,I will give you great responsibilities.. (Matthew 25:21)

    Reflection What do you value most?Are you able to freely give away what you value most?How do measure the immeasurable gift that God delivers?How do you multiply your gifts?

    Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love;

    For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. The Prayer of St Francis

    Sin cuts us off not only from God but also from other people. Repentance is not simply about straighteningthings out with an angry God who, in human terms, is actually more disappointed than angry. Repentance is alsoabout admitting that our sins affect how we treat other people.

    The Roman Catholic faith is an incarnational one, a sacramental one, a faith which sees God acting through physical objects (water, oil, bread, wine) and by means of human instruments, including a priest hearing confes-sions. Retrieved from http://www.americancatholic.org/

    Private confessions at St. Michaels are available for you before Mass on Saturdays 4pm and Sundaysat 8am in the confessional box located in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, but also face-to-face and by ap-pointment at your convenience. Confessions are available in English and Spanish.
