Important

1. Incomplete applications/ not on the prescribed form/ applications received after the due date/ shall not

be considered. The University shall not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit.

2. In-service candidates should apply through proper channel.

3. The relaxation in upper age for reserve categories shall be as per Punjab Govt. rules i.e. relaxation in

upper age for SC/ BC candidate is 5 years and for Physically Handicapped is 10 years and for Ex-

Servicemen Category candidates, the age relaxation will be as follows:

For recruitment to any vacancy in the State Civil Services whether reserved or not under these

rule an Ex-Serviceman shall be allowed to deduct the period of his service in the Armed Forces

of the Union for his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit

prescribed for direct appointment to such vacancy in the concerned Service rules, by more than

3 years, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit.4. For those candidates who are already in Government Service, if eligible, age relaxation will be upto

45 years.

5. The number of posts can be increased/ decreased without any notice.

6. The candidate should fulfil the requisite qualifications by the last date for receipt of applications i.e.

18.11.2011.

7. No TA/DA will be paid for the journey performed for the written test.

8. Candidates are requested to mention their sub category viz-a-viz caste in application form.

9. Before purchasing the application form, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfils the requisite

qualifications, age, other terms & conditions strictly as per advertisement. No scrutiny of the

applications is to be done before conducting the written examination, therefore, if at any stage, it is

found that the candidate does not fulfil the qualifications/ other terms & conditions or the certificates

of the candidate are found fictitious/bogus, his/ her candidature will be cancelled even after issuing

the appointment letter and action will be taken as per law.

10. The last date for receipt of applications in the office of Registrar, PAU, Ludhiana is18.11.2011.

11. When applying for more than one post, separate application form should be submitted for

each post. The application form obtained for a particular post shall not be considered for anyother post.

12. The written test will be conducted for all the posts except Sr.No.7, 9 & 11.

13. The candidate must bring the Admit Card on the day of written examination at the venue ofthe examination centre. The candidate without Admit Card will not be allowed to appear in

the written examination.14. The candidate should submit the application form along with attested copies of certificates and mark

sheets from Matric onwards in support of their qualifications. The original certificates regarding

eligibility for a particular post shall be verified/ checked at the time of final selection by theconcerned Departments.

15. The candidates are advised to remain in touch with the PAU website www.pau.edu for date of written

test/ results, etc.

16. If the Admit card is not received by the candidate, he/she may collect the duplicate Admit Card from

the office of the Registrar three days before the date of written test. He/she may also bring two

passport size photographs and identity proof for this purpose.
