Mandatory reviewers should not be subordinate to the PPS preparer. Preparers cannot be mandatory reviewers for their own work.

Mandatory reviewers must review their PANs in a timely manner, generally within 2 business days. Departments will determine reviewer time requirements, per audit policy.
