Dear Friends,

Welcome to another program year at Saint Paul’s Church. The 2012-2013 season promises to be especially exciting as we continue to expand our music offerings to serve our parish and community.

At Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church, music is central to our congregational worship life. Here you will experience music that excites the senses, challenges the mind, and touches the soul. We value the rich musical heritage that has been handed down to us, and while we preserve the very best of the Anglican choral tradition each Sunday, we strive to make this tradition relevant to our everyday lives.

On any given Sunday, you will hear chant, classical music, gospel songs, and renaissance polyphony, as our choirs sing a repertoire that spans six centuries. There is choral music at Saint Paul’s each Sunday morning at the 10:30 a.m. service of Holy Eucharist, in addition to monthly Choral Evensong as scheduled. In addition, we offer five world class concerts through our FIVE FRIDAYS series.

There are many ways to get involved with Saint Paul’s mu-sic program. The simplest of these is to simply come and experience musical worship each Sunday. Other ways to support the music program include joining a choir, vol-unteering at music events or making a financial contribu-tion. I invite you to become one of our Friends of Music. Please fill out the envelope enclosed in this brochure and return it with your contribution. In this way, you can as-sist in offering good music for everyone, not just to those who can afford it. In uncertain economic times, you can be sure that your contribution will be instrumental in the continued growth of Saint Paul’s Music.

In the Episcopal Church, we believe that music in worship serves as a veil through which we experience the grace and presence of God. We hope that our music offering will provide you the opportunity to deepen your spirituality and grow in faith.
