Gerald LaRonde – Choral DirectorGerald is a retired high school music teacher who has been a partof the music-making scene in Pembroke and area for many years.This marks his sixth year as director for the Pembroke CommunityChoir. He received Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Educationdegrees from Queen’s University. Gerald has been music directorfor productions by the former Pembroke Musical Society, Pem-broke Little Theatre, Streetlight Theatre, as well as a number ofmusicals presented by Fellowes High School. He is currently musicdirector at the Church of the Most Holy Name of Jesus.
Darlene TerMarsch – AccompanistA native of the Ottawa Valley, Darlene TerMarsch is accomplished inpiano, vocal, organ, harpsichord and percussion, and has studiedpiano and voice through the Royal Conservatory of Music. Althoughher early studies were primarily classical, her knowledge of musicalgenres has broadened considerably through years of accompanyingvarious soloists and musical groups, i.e., Kiwanis Music Festival,Pembroke Community Choir, Pembroke Musical Society, Deep RiverSymphony Orchestra, Legion Swing Band, GT Swing Orchestra,Pembroke Symphony Orchestra, Streetlight Theatre Company, DeepRiver Cantando Singers, Ottawa Valley Music Festival Chorus, andAtyeo's Dance Studio. Her experience as a church organist began atThe Church of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, Pembroke, at the age of14. Since 1991, she has been the Music Director at St. George’sProtestant Chapel, Garrison Petawawa.
Blaine Sack – OrganistBlaine's journey as a church organist began at the PetawawaPresbyterian Church, at the age of 15. Blaine obtained his Grade 10piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music and received a Bachelorof Science Degree, Honours Microbiology, from the University ofGuelph. With almost 25 years of experience as a church musician,Blaine has held positions in Petawawa, Norval in Halton Hills,Stittsville, and Thornbury on the shores of Georgian Bay. Over theyears, he has taught piano and has accompanied instrumentalists,vocalists, and choirs for examinations, auditions, festivals andweddings. He has also worked with a professional theatre group andhas been guest organist at recitals and other special events. Blaine isthe current organist/choir director of Zion Lutheran Church inPembroke, and is a member of the Ottawa Centre of the RoyalCanadian College of Organists.
