BeyONd POweRA new VK56VD 5.6 litre V8 Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) engine gives the all-new Nissan Patrol, the power to overcome, damn near anything. The engine features Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) technology and is capable of delivering 298kW of power and a beyond exceptional 560Nm of torque. 90% of that torque is delivered at 1,600 rpm courtesy of exceptional low-end torque. 3,500kg of braked towing capacity delivers unrivalled practicality to the driver. A seven-speed automatic transmission ensures that the raw power of this incredible engine is put to good use. This new engine, while the most powerful in its class, is also remarkably fuel-efficient compared to its predecessors, proving this 4x4 not only works harder but smarter.

The all-new Nissan Patrol brings with it the technology, design and forethought needed to tackle almost any terrain. For instance the All MODE 4x4 technology allows the driver to switch between a range of different modes, including sand, on-road, rock and snow with the push of a button. Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control systems give the driver the utmost confidence to take the road less travelled. When that road gets that much tougher, the driver can engage the rear differential lock with the push of a button. When it comes to the all-new Nissan Patrol, capability is everything.

A new Hydraulic Body Motion Control (HBMC) suspension system (Ti & Ti-L models only) has been implemented to ensure remarkably low body roll when powering through corners and provides better traction through rough terrain. HBMC plays both the role of shock absorbers and stabiliser bars and allows for full wheel travel, meaning your wheels will stay firmly on the ground when you’re off the beaten track. The HBMC system provides this balance and superior cornering by monitoring force and then distributing pressure to either the outer or inner double wishbone suspension system. This HBMC system delivers a smoother ride, safer cornering and overall enhanced stability.

The all-new Nissan Patrol range takes safety to a whole new level. By no mistake the Nissan Patrol is a large and robust vehicle. To ensure you are able to get out and about without any doubt, front and rear parking sensors with rear camera will get you out of tight spots and back on the road in no time whilst also keeping everyone around you safe and out of harms way. In addition to this, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) will keep you in control of the vehicle at all times. When engaged, VDC will ensure you maintain your intended path during emergency situations by applying individual braking pressure to each wheel in conjunction with the engine’s ability to automatically reduce power. For maximum safety the Nissan Patrol, across the range, employs driver and front passenger front and side SRS airbags as well as curtain air bags.

The Around View Monitor^ in the Nissan Patrol Ti-L model allows drivers to get in and out of tight spots with ease by providing a simulated bird’s eye view directly on screen.

An incredibly innovative Blind Spot Warning and Intervention system detects vehicles in your blind spot and alerts you via an audible alarm. If for instance you continue to change lanes and the car in your blind spot also continues to proceed, the system will initiate, gently braking one side of the vehicle, bringing your vehicle back to your original lane position, well out of harms way.

Also found within the Nissan Patrol Ti-L model is the Forward Collision Warning system (FCW). Using a front distance sensor, FCW will detect the risk of a forward collision and inform the driver with an alarm and an indicator to brake. When the system judges that a collision cannot be prevented, Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA) is activated to assist the driver reduce the rear-end collision speed by applying the brakes.
