About Day Four

• On day four we celebrate the woman suffrage movement Susan B. Anthony was one of the women that protested about women not being able to vote. Another other person that protested about women not being able to vote was Elizabeth Cady Stanton.

Details of the movement

• Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott, leaders of the movement for women's rights, were later joined by Susan B Anthony, Carrie C. Catt.

• These women did not endorse the 15th amendment which gave black men the right to vote, because it did not give women the same rights.

• In 1890 the National American Woman Suffrage Association (NAWSA) was formed.

• Then In 1920 the 19th amendment was passed allowing women the right to vote.
