This group enables more than 100 countries to modernize and grow our system of 35,000+ restaurants through a focus on understanding their challenges and offering best in class resources and solutions. In this role, Patrick is responsible for leading strategy alignment, construction support, strategic sourcing and the global training department. Prior to joining the Worldwide Development Team, Patrick served as the East Division Development Director for two and a half years. In this role, he provided strategic oversight in the execution of the new store development and modernization of eight regions, consisting of 114 people and 5,300+ restaurants. Patrick supported the regional teams on their development plan execution, training, people development, hiring and capital management. Patrick joined McDonald’s in 2000 as a Real Estate Representative in the Pittsburgh Region. He spent the next seven years in Pittsburgh holding numerous roles including: Assistant Real Estate Manager, Regional Development Manager and Development Director. As Development Director, he was responsible for providing day-to-day leadership to achieve regional long-term development and income goals. Patrick then moved to the Raleigh Region as Development Director, where he led his team to meet or exceed the development plan in every category during three years in a row. He also leveraged a strategic approach to all planning, while staying aligned with opportunities available by using market analytics. Prior to joining McDonald’s Patrick was employed by CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) where he performed site selection and analysis for major retailers and restaurant chains. Throughout his career, Patrick has been widely recognized for his leadership and contributions receiving: the EVA Award, Development Team of the Year three times (once in Pittsburgh and twice in Raleigh), Innovation Award two times, Directors Award of Excellence, Outstanding Development Director, Team Partners Award, Relocation of the Year and Real Estate Rookie of the Year. Patrick earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography and Urban Planning from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Law from the University of Pittsburgh. ###
