OBJECTIVE
To design a creative
solution and produce
detailed construction
drawings for a 2’ change in
elevation between the main
structure and the addition
at the opposite side of the
courtyard.
CONCEPT
The concept evokes the
visual movement of a
drop of water as it creates
an indentation and an
elevation in the surface,as
well as the subsequent
ripple effect.
SOLUTION
The design employs
techniques observed
by studying the work of
Carlo Scarpa and his use
of concrete to create
visual interest in stairs.
As a result, the structure
welcomes the user through
an indentation containing
greenery, followed by a
gradual elevation of stairs
that house planting for
shade and culminates
in a fireplace. The space
is meant to serve as a
transition, as well as a
destination.

OBJECTIVETo combine two different
spaces: a library and an
innovation lab into one
cohesive design for client
Enabled by design, a social
organization dedicated to
making every day life more
seamlessly accessible to
everybody.
CONCEPTAs the neuronal
connections in the human
brain, the concept is a
network of empowering
universal spaces defined by
function which connect to
each other to promote and
facilitate the exchange of
ideas and information.
SOLUTIONInformed by personal
experience with the client,
the solution is a universal
and adaptable open
work space connected
through an uninterrupted
floor surface that eases
movement. The Hub, is
anchored by a monumental
spine-like structure,
illuminated from within to
highlight the verticality and
fluidity of its movement,
that culminates in a semi-
private conference room.

OBJECTIVETo design a solution that enhances space functionality for
the existing space of Jewelerswerk Gellerie. The Artisan
jewelry gallery and retail space in Georgetown’s Cady’s
Alley showcases pieces, hosts events and sells jewelry in a
small space of 276 sf.
CONCEPTInspired by Bauhaus architecture, the concept uses simple
industrial elements in to highlight the craftsmanship
qualities of the jewelry pieces and preserve the client’s
brand.
SOLUTION
CONCEPT IMAGESREDESIGN of
This is achieved by the use of simple materials in custom
furniture pieces that provide maximum functionality and a
big architectural move that creates interest and enhances
circulation.

OBJECTIVETo design a creative and
functional entry piece
based on the study of the
work of Patricia Urquiola.
CONCEPTThe concept abstracts
the aesthetics of Patricia
Urquiola’s signature
Tropicalia furniture line.
Meant to be a functional
and avant-garde design
piece, the Tropicalia line
features interwoven lines
with strong pops of color in
a durable material.
SOLUTIONThe solution is a flexible,
bendable and adaptable
entry piece composed
of seven flexible poles
wrapped in the signature
Tropicalia plastic treads,
a movable seat to remove
shoes and an integrated flat
and concave surface that,
together form a functional
statement entry piece.
