Patient and family centred care is an approach to the planning, delivery and evaluation of health care that is grounded in mutually beneficial partnerships among the people we serve, their families, and care providers.

What does Family mean?
Basic unit in society consisting of people who are related to each other
Synonyms: blood, clan, folks, house, kin, kindred, kinfolk, lineage, people, tribe
Family is a group in which people interact in order to achieve a common goal.
Family Goals include providing affection, protection, sense of belonging, and guiding and supporting one another.
Family is any group of people bonded either biologically, emotionally, or legally. That is the group of people that the patient defines as significant for his or her well being.
