Abstract
The present invention provides a cost effective biotechnological process for production of bio -fuels from isolated and characterized microalgae. The algal strains used in the present invention having higher biomass, higher lipid productivity, higher pH and temperature tolerance are selected from the group consisting of Chlorella vulgaris iOC-1, Chlorella vulgaris iOC-2, Chlorella kessleri, Botrococcus bruni, Dunaliella salina and Nannochloris oculat or a combination thereof having 95-100% similarity with 18s ribosomal nucleic acids nucleotide sequences (rDNA) given for Seq. ID I, Seq. ID 2, Seq. ID 3, Seq. ID 4, Seq. ID 5 and Seq. ID 6. The present process of bio -fuel production comprises the steps of producing lipid from green algae in bioreactors by various novel steps and extracting oil from dried algal cells and ultimately producing biodiesel by transesterification of the said extracted oil.

mixture. The said composition includes ethoxylate of cashew nut shell liquid. In addition ethoxylate of cashew nut shell liquid, the said composition comprises a co-surfactant having a hydrophilic lipophilic
balance in the range of 4 to 12 and a polymeric dispersant. The water blended fuel mixture using emulsifiers of the present invention, overcome some of the shortcomings of the previously known emulsions.

The reaction of the disulphided oil, as obtained from the caustic wash of liquefied petroleum gas, with 2,3,8,9,13,14 -hexathia-5,6,11,12 -tetraazatricyclo [8.2.1.14,7]tetradeca-4,6,10,12-tetraene was carried out in one pot and one step to yield a corrosion inhibiting composition comprising predominantly of 2,5-bis(methyldithio)-1,3,4-thiadiazole, 2-methylthio-5-ethylthio-1,3,4-thiadiazole and 2,5-bis(ethyldithio)-1,3,4-thiadiazole, for application in fuels, lubes and greases.

A process for the preparation of multi-functional additive, amino di(alkylcyclohexyl) phosphorodithioate, for use as an additive in a lubricant composition so as to impart improved coefficient of friction, wear reduction, antioxidant and extreme pressure properties, including the steps of (a) hydrogenating distilled technical cashew nut shell liquid with palladium or nickel or platinum catalyst; to fully hydrogenate the olefinic chain and aromatic ring of the precursor; (b) reacting fully hydrogenated technical cashew nut shell liquid with phosphorus pentasulfide to obtain unpolymerized hydrogenated cashew nut shell liquid phosphorodithioic acid, the reaction being carried out at a temperature ranging from 20 to 140.degree. C. ; and (c) condensing the unpolymerized fully saturated cashew nut shell liquid phosphorodithioic acid with at least one amine to obtain the amino di(alkylcyclohexyl) phosphorodithioate. A lubricant containing a major proportion of a material selected from the group consisting of an oil of lubricating viscosity and a grease; and remainder an additive including amino di(alkylcyclohexyl)phos phorodithioate prepared by the foregoing process.

Phosphorothionate derivatives derived from cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) for use as an thermally stable antioxidant, antiwear, friction reducing and extreme pressure additive in a lubricant composition are synthesized by the steps of (a) partially hydrogenating distilled technical cashew nut shell liquid with palladium or nickel or platinum catalyst; to hydrogenate the olefinic chain; (b) reacting partially hydrogenated technical cashew nut shell liquid with phosphorus trihalide and sulphur, the reaction being carried out at a temperature ranging from 20 to 220.degree. C. A lubricant containing a major proportion of a material selected from the group consisting of an oil of lubricating viscosity or a grease; and remainder an additive including CNSL phosphorothionate derivative, prepared by the foregoing process.

Abstract
This invention relates to a catalyst composition capable of effecting selective oligomerisation of olefins contained in
cracked refinery distillate streams, comprising of olefins, aromatics, paraffins and cycloparaffins. The catalyst
composition gives very high conversion of olefins to poly olefins, which after distillation and stabilization by
hydrogenation affords lubricating oil base stocks. The catalyst composition comprises of an aluminum halide and a
transition metal alkoxide belonging to group IVB.

Abstract
A process for the oligomerization and co-oligomerization of alpha olefins by subjecting olefins to the step of oligomerization in the presence of a supported aluminum chloride catalyst and an organoaluminum compound as a promoter. The catalyst is separated and the reaction product is subjected to the step of fractional distillation for removal of the solvent. The oligomers are further fractionated to obtain poly alpha olefins.

Abstract
A process for the preparation of sulphurized calcium phenate from cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL). Distilled or hydrogenated distilled CNSL is reacted with calcium salt and sulphur in the presence of promoters to obtain a reaction mixture. The reaction mixture is subjected to the step of carbonation to obtain basic sulfurized calcium phenate, which may be subjected to a further step of basefication to obtain overbased sulphurized ca lcium phenate. Such a calcium phenate is added to lubricating oil or grease as an additive.

Abstract
A process for the preparation of oligomers which are used in synthetic lubricant base stocks. The oligomers are prepared by contacting a mixture of linear olefins and n-paraffins contained in cracked refinery streams having 6 to 24 carbon atoms with activated Y-zeolites. The oligomers and unreacted monomers are subjected to the step of hydrogenation and the lower saturated paraffins are separated therefrom to produce synthetic lubricant base stock.
