Patch & Pin Placement Guide for Royal Rangers Uniforms COLLAR (utility and dress) The following patch and pin placement guidelines apply to all Royal Rangers uniforms utilizing insignia (boys and leaders). Some patches are standard, required items and must be worn on all uniform shirts while other patches are optional. Required patches are indicated below in red. Only position insignia for adult Organizational Leaders may be worn on the collar. Pins should be worn on the Dress Uniform and patches on the Utility Uniform in PATCH format. When wearing the Utility Uniform in PIN format, patches or pins may be worn. Insignia should be worn ½ inch from leading edge of collar and ½ inch from bottom edge, axis running parallel with leading edge. Leaders not serving in any organizational leadership position will wear no insignia on collar. Center axis of insignia runs parallel with the front edge of the collar. Collar insignia placed ½ inch from front and bottom edges of collar. Right Sleeve Geographic Patch (formerly District Strip), centered, ½ inch below shoulder seam (required). Outpost Numerals, centered, touching the bottom edge of the Geographic Patch OR the Staff patch (required). Advancement level patch (boys) or Rangers Ministry Academy training level patch (leaders), centered ½ inch below outpost numerals. Note: National and Regional organiza- tional leaders may wear the National Staff patch in place of a Geographic Patch and Outpost Numerals. Left Sleeve Royal Rangers emblem patch, centered, ½ inch below shoulder seam (required). Local Office Insignia, centered ½ inch below RR emblem. Right Pocket Event Patch (any Royal Rangers event), centered on pocket. The only items worn on the formal uniform are the Formal Emblem Badge and a Royal Rangers Lapel Pin, such as the RRI pin, Pathfi nders triangle, or the Royal Rangers tie tack/lapel pin (optional).

Personal name tag (leaders only) engraved plastic, ¾" x 3", navy blue with white lettering, 2 lines of text, name & position. Boys may wear a special recognition pin, such as Outpost Ranger of the Year, FCF Scout name tag, or NSSP Ambassador name tag.

Group Name Tag (boys) or Royal Rangers name tag (leaders), centered above and along the top edge of the pocket (required).

FCF Membership Pins, centered above and along the top edge of the name tag OR FCF or RRA Membership Patch, centered ½ inch above name tag.

Left PocketTraining Patch, centered on pocket.

One medal, centered or evenly spaced across the top edge of pocket. May not represent an award that is also represented by a ribbon above the pocket (not shown).

ABOVE LEFT POCKET

Ribbons, maximum of 18, centered above and along the top edge of the pocket. (Visit royalrangers.com for order of wear)

Royal Rangers International (RRI) support pin, RRA pin, centered, ½ inch above top row of ribbons.

Note: Medals and ribbons may be worn at the same time, provided they do not represent the same awards.
