description

Space Shuttle Mission/Experiment Patch Designs Proposed by Kristen Ann Winslet. The first page shows a patch I designed for the National Space Society's Education Chapter. The last page shows a letter from Shuttle Pilot Richard Covey in response to my Patch Design I submitted to George Nelson, mission specialist for the flight. What a Joy to see they adopted my patch as their mission emblem for STS-26 in 1988. The other patch designs are an assortment of designs I sent to the astronauts in the 1990's. One in particular is STS-88, the first ISS Mission. I received a note from Bob Cabana which stated his crew prefers to design their own patch, but in the end, it looks like I had made an impact.
