My granny had a rich tradition of Sunday dinners. Usingher brown pottery and fitting as many people at the table, it wasthe highlight of our visits. I loved sitting with my family andlaughing and chatting over a big meal. There was the childrenstable for the little ones because we, and then they just could notsit still long enough for a long Sunday meal.

The items served didnt vary much. Turkey and ham withmash potatoes, creamed corn (which to this day I still dont eat), sweet pickles, andyummy gravy. Then we had the wonderful white bakery boxes filled with cakes and cookiesfor dessert. My granny worked for a meat packer and is my grandmother that was at thefarmers market working the booth each week, those white boxes are my very favorite thing to see!

Our dinner was really at lunch time, no matter what the occasion. She also had atradition that about 5pm she would bring out rolls, lunch meat, cheeses and chips for abuffet of dinner.

I cant WAIT to hear about your Sunday dinners!
