H.O.P.E. DINNER Are you available to help with the HOPE dinner on Sunday, May 21? The dinners serve home-cooked meals to people affected by HIV/AIDS, on the third Sunday of every month. Volunteers are always needed to either help set-up or to prepare food. If interested, please contact Wendy, Douglas-Nathai at 718-450-0575. The Sacrament of Confirmation for Adults… will be celebrated here on Pentecost Sunday, June 4th at the 12 noon Mass, for adults who are already baptized and have received their First Communion. Those planning to marry in the church and are not confirmed should prepare now. There will be 4 hours of instruction. For more information on class dates see future bulletins. Please call Fr. Ahern to register. You will need to bring a copy of your baptismal certificate or begin the process of obtaining one. Young adults who are confirmed but are returning to the church or desire an update are welcome as well since this program will cover the major areas of Catholic faith, practice, and spirituality.
Bereavement Group The death of a loved one is a very difficult period in one’s life. The grief process is a painful journey that changes our lives forever. Grief is a natural response to loss and in order for grief resolution to be attained we must work through our loss. The Fall Bereavement group will meet every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., in the recto-ry. Please mark your calendar. Any questions? Special Mass - June 4th
“Regional Mass of Inclusion for Persons with Disabilities & the Deaf” for parishes in Deaneries 3,4,8,9 will be celebrated at regularly scheduled 10:15 Mass in the Lower Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica, on Sunset Park Brooklyn. A breakfast and a special Needs Resource Fair will immediately follow the Mass. Arrangements will be in place for those with physical, mental or emotional needs.
