PASTOR NOMINATING COMMITTEE SLATE Sara Clark is married to Andy Clark and they have two children: Logan (8) and Bryn (6). Her parents are Karl and Carol Craven. She has been a member of Covenant for over 35 years and is currently serving on the Personnel Commission. Her hobbies/avocations are reading, music, and volunteering. She is currently the Chief Legal Counsel at the Ohio School Boards Association. Bob Cowman and Nancy Schnittke Cowman were married at Covenant Presbyterian Church in June of 1965. Nancy's parents were early members of the Church. Bob joined the Church in 1965 when he and Nancy were married. They have two daughters who grew up in the Church, but they are not members now. Bob and Nancy have been active members of the Church. When their daughters were in middle school, Bob and Nancy led the youth program at the Church for that age group. Bob has worked in Investments for 40 plus years. He oversaw an $11 Billion investment portfolio for the ten years before retiring in 2012. He has served on the Permanent Funds Ministry Committee for 8 years and the Investment Committee that advises PFM for the past 15 years or so. Bob volunteers for behind the scenes activities at the church, such as the garage sale, variety show, planting of flowers in the courtyard, Schooners, or wherever needed. Bob enjoys gardening around the house, following the activities of his grandchildren, reading and playing golf.

JohnGriffinandhiswife,Gail,havebeenmembersofCovenantformorethan30years.Theyhavetwoadultchildrenandareproudgrandparentsoffourgrandchildren.JohnhasservedasanElderforthreeterms,memberofPersonnel,Stewardship&Budget,Mission&SocialConcernCommissions,memberandchairofPermanentFundsMinistry,anearlyadvocateofHoge’sMusic,Message,andMeal,anUsher,memberofMen’scoffeeclub,andadeliverydriverforSOSFoodPantry.Whileretirednow,duringhisworkingcareerhewasDirectorofBattelle’sEconomicandManagementConsultingPractice,DirectorofScienceandTechnologyprogramsforOhioDepartmentofDevelopment,andSeniorAdviserforHighRisk,EarlyStagetechnologyinvestmentsforaventurecapitalfirm.Johnlovestoplaygolf,fish,cook,readandassemblewoodenjigsawpuzzles.
SusanImelisretiredfromOSUwheresheservedasdirectoroffundedprojectsrelatedtoadulteducationandasanadjunctprofessorinadulteducation.ShehasbeenamemberofCovenantfor38yearsandhasservedasaDeaconandanElderandchairofseveralcommissions,memberofCPW,ChancelChoir,andaVBSvolunteer.Herhobbies/avocationsarecooking,reading,andtraveling.
DeaconTerryKennedyManciniismarriedtoJoeManciniandtheyhaveason,MichaelAndrews(Courtney)andgrandchildren,ZacharyandFinely.ShehasbeenamemberofCovenantfor34yearsandhasservedasanElderandispresentlyaDeacon.ShehastaughtSundaySchoolandVBS,isservingasaLiturgist,Usher,Greeter,memberofCPW,andhelpswithHogedinners.Herhobbies/avocationsarecooking,reading,playingbridge,andherbgardening.Shevolunteersandservesinmanycommunityevents.TerryisretiredfromtheOhioDepartmentofYouthServicesandtheKentuckyJusticeCabinet.
JaredMcCunebeganattendingCovenantin2010whenheandhiswifeAmymovedtoUpperArlington.Theyhavebeenmarriedsince2008andareblessedwithtwochildren,MadelynandLiam,8and5.HeisthechairoftheNeighborhoodCommitteeandparticipatesingreetingatthe8:30service.JaredhasaMechanicalEngineeringDegreeandanMBAfromOhioUniversity.HeworksforTheOlenCorporationasanOperationsManagerandhasbeenwiththecompanysincegraduatingfromcollegein2006.
ElderToriVazquezhastwochildren,Charlie(22)andEmma(17),adultstepchildrenEd,Eric,andRebecca,andstepgrandchildrenJesus(13),Bianca(9)andZoe(7).OvertheyearsshehasservedonandchairedseveralcommissionsandiscurrentlychairofSpiritualDevelopmentandAdultLearning.TorienjoyedcoordinatingtheGlennonDoyleeventinAprilof2015.Inherfreetimesheenjoysspendingtimewithherfamily,playingthefluteandpiano,reading,andwalking.Torihasbeenaneducatorfor33years,withthefirst6asaninterventionspecialistandtheremaining27asaschoolcounselor.ShehasbeenemployedbytheGroveportMadisonLocalSchoolssinceAugust2002.
ElderJudyOederisthemotherofthreeadultchildrenandthegrandmotheroffive.Duringherworkingyears,sheworkedinanaccountingdepartmentandasofficestaff.ShehasbeenamemberofCovenantPresbyterianChurchforoverforty-eightyears.ShehasbeenandiscurrentlyanElderandanactivememberofCPW,havingservedasaCirclememberandleader,Treasurer,Secretary,ViceModeratorandModerator.ShehasbeenamemberoftheChildren’sMinistryCommittee,theJusticeandPeaceCommitteeandamemberandcurrentlyChairoftheMissionandSocialConcernsCommission.ShehastaughtSundayChurchSchool/TreasureFindersforforty-fiveyearsandhasbeenaVBSteacher.JudyhasheldleadershiprolesinPresbyterianWomeninthePresbyteryofSciotoValley,servingasaPWEnabler(nowcalledResourceLiaisons),ViceModeratorforJustice&Peace,andModerator.SheiscurrentlyservingasCommunicatorandHistorian.ShehasalsobeeninvolvedwithPWintheSynodoftheCovenant,servingontheSearchTeam,asarepresentativefromPW/PSVandasModerator.SheisalsotheformerModeratoroftheSynodoftheCovenant’sPeaceandJusticeNetwork.HerhobbiesareBobbinlacemaking,weaving,crossstitch,andreading.
AlanYarlettsisthefortunatehusbandofawonderfulwife,Jackie,andproudfatheroftwosons–Cody(34)andBrady(32).Hisimmediateextendedfamilyincludesdaughter-in-lawEmily,andgrandchildren,Della(3)andEthan(1).HehasbeenamemberofCovenantPresbyterianChurchfor39yearswherehewasmarriedandhischildren/grandchildrenbaptized.Duringtheyearsofhismembership,AlanhasservedasElder,Deacon(moderator),PropertiesCommittee(chair),PermanentFundsMinistry(moderator),layreader,childcareprovider,usher,andbusdriverforourFriendshipVillagefriends.Hemaintainsanactivelifestylebyworkingout,biking,walking,hiking,readingandmentoringhighschoolstudentsengagedincommunityserviceexperiences.Alanhadtheprivilegeofguidingchildrenduringhisthirty-sevenyearcareerintheeducationprofession.Duringthattimehewasassignedtoavarietyofpositionsincluding:teacher;principal;elementarycareereducationcoordinator;elementarycounselor;staffdevelopmentcoordinator;andadjunctassistantprofessor.
