Ludovic Flamantwas born in Namur in 1978.He clearly remembers crying at the age of twelve be-cause he was no longer able to play with his Playmobils. So he waited for the wish to come back.In the meanwhile he wrote for adults: a novel, some theatre… And then it came back! Now he playsevery time he writes for children.He lives in Brussels with his son and daughter.

Pascal Lemaitre lives half the year in Brussels, where he teaches in the art school La Cambre andhalf the year inNewYork.Hiswork appears in the press (TheNewYork Times,LeMonde...) and alsoin children magazines. He has published many books for children at Simon & Schuster (Who’s Gotthe Game by Toni Morrisson) and Pastel.

Claude K. Dubois was born in Verviers, Belgium, in 1960. She teaches sketching at the Saint-LucInstitute in Liège, where she studied herself. At school she worked on drawing from life, sketchingand watercolours, which she particularly enjoys.

Pélagiewas born in 1987.She has been drawing as far back as she can remember.So it was naturalfor her to choose to study art at Saint-Luc, in Liège. She likes to experiment with differenttechniques: watercolour, collage, pencils, acrylic paint, Photoshop... She runs workshops forchildren and loves to share her passion. She lives closely surrounded by her family, her boyfriendand her son, Théo.

Rascalwas born in Belgium in 1959. After working in advertising, drawing posters for the theatreand having different jobs,he decided to devote himself to children’s books.He has been awarded theGreat Prize for children’s literature of the French-speaking community of Belgium for 2009-2012.

He attended courses at the Saint-LucInstitute in Brussels and, after being tempted by comic strips, became an illustrator of children’sbooks.His stories are tender, illustrated by luminous and soberwatercolours.He lives in Brusselsand has two daughters.

Apoet,novelist and storyteller,Pierre Coranwas born inBelgium in 1934.For a long time heworkedas a primary school teacher, following Freinet’s method, then as a college director and literatureprofessor. He has been awarded various prizes for his literary career - which also includes novelsfor young adults - among which the Grand Prix de Poésie pour la Jeunesse (for children’s poetry).

Célia Chauffrey lives in France. After majoring in literature, she studied graphic design in Paris.Then she joined the Émile Cohl School in Lyon where she graduated in 2003.
