PARTY LOCKSIts party season and you can easily make yourself stand out in the glamour stakes by following some simple guidance from L iving. From elegant hair accessories to

5 minute party hair from our columnist Nicky Clarke and not forgetting our favourite high street product buys. By the time Christmas arrives you will be the queen

of hair advice!

LOOK 1:Tumbling WavesStep 1: Apply some Nicky Clarke Hair Raising Spray

throughout your hair.

Step 2: As neatly as possible brush your hair up into

a high ponytail on the top of your head and just off

to one side.

Step 3: Twist your ponytail into a bun ensuring your

hair is tightly twisted and secure it with some hair

grips around the base of the bun.

To finish: Allow the hair to set and dry, the longer you

leave it the better (a couple of hours would be great,

if not all day!)

Just before you leave the office, take the grips out of

the hair and untie the ponytail. Shake your hair out

loosely with your hands or a wide tooth comb for

a neater finish allowing it to fall softly to one side.

Lightly brush your hair over one side and set with

Nicky Clarke Hold and Shine Hairspray. Finish with

some Nicky Clarke instant calmer.

From Nicky with love.Firstly welcome to my Christmas column! We all know how busy we can be over Christmas; extra hours in the office and non-stop Christmas

parties. Wouldnt you just love to have some extra time to yourself to pamper and preen? Well help is at hand I have created these simple

styles to take you from your desk to the dance floor, perfect to create during your lunch break or 5 minutes before leaving the office to the

party.

LOOK 3: Rock Chick Glamour

Step 1: Apply some Nicky Clarke Hair Raising Spraylightly throughout your hair.

Step 2: Blast your hair with a hairdryer. The rougher

the better to encourage movement.

Step 3: To get more controlled movement take

sections of your hair and using straighteners pull the

hair up using quick, flick like actions.

Step 4: Work Nicky Clarke Tease Me through the

roots of the hair and mess it up, styling it loosely!

GET THE LOOKWarren Holmes, International Creative Director at Nicky Clarke Salons shows us how to achieve this gorgeous plait for the Christmas party season.

Step 1: Wash and blow dry the hair smooth. Use irons

if necessary to create a straight finish.

Step 2: Create a deep side parting (from above the

arch of your right eyebrow), in a line to the crown

and diagonally down to the nape of your neck on

the opposite side.

Step 3: Brush into a sleek ponytail and secure

with a bungee cord, (a piece of elastic with a hook

on each end). The right hand ponytail should be

lower than the left side so its asymmetrical.

Step 4: Divide the ponytail in two and twist each section clockwise.

Next wrap the two sections together, anticlockwise getting a rope

braid and secure with a snag-free band. You might need someone

to hold this for your while you do the same to the other ponytail.

Step 5: Once both ponytails are ready, wrap the high ponytail

around the top of the lower one and use Kirby grips to pin in

place.

Step 6: Now take the lower ponytail, and wrap underneath

then up and over the higher one. Secure in place.

ALTERNATE TIP: Why not plait each ponytail rather than

twist?

Step 7: Keep working in this pattern until

both ponytails are complete and secure in

place. Finish with Nicky Clarke Hold and Shine
