New Business Competition
As a component of the compulsory management course taken by all first year students during their first semester, the annual NEW BUSINESS COMPETITION hosted by the Schulich School of Business puts the creativity, originality, leadership, and teamwork skills of all first year students to the test. This project requires students to work in teams to analyze numerous industries and creatively develop innovative products or services. In previous years, students have put immense effort into this competition and the UBC has developed a platform to judge the teams and crown a winner. In the preliminary round, students present their ideas to a panel of judges. The best teams are then sent to the final round, where one plan is crowned the business plan of the year.
