Halloween SpooktacularThank you to our Lincoln Families for

sending in treats and coming to the annual Halloween Spooktacular. It was a great

success. Thank you PALS for organizing this event. We raised $885.95 that will help to

Compassion for othersOur students are learning about the importance of thinking about others. Throughout the month of November, we will focus on learning about ways in which we can show compassion. We encourage students to show compassion to their peers so that Lincoln Elementary continues to be a happy place to grow and learn.

Christmas BazaarWe are holding our Annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, November 23rd from 9 am- 1 pm.

This bazaar has been held for over 25 years!  We count on the bazaar to raise money for our playground, school trips and educational supplies for the school.  

There will be lots of games for children and fun for adults too!  We will have Lucky Squares, a Chinese Auction and a Silent Auction with many great items for each. 

A canteen will be available selling pizza naans, popcorn, smoothies, coffee, hot dogs and water.  In addition, merchants will be on site selling their wares. 

WE NEED YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT for the following:

Donate a cake for the ‘Cake Walk’ – we will be requesting each class to have at least 5 cakes/cookies/squares! Please volunteer to help with this if you can!

A Dollar Store Item or $1 – for prizes A 2L bottle of pop or a big bag of chips for the

Pop/Chip Walk Bring in, or ask your employer to donate

item(s) for our Silent/Chinese auctions. Donate your time to help out at the bazaar

(357-4075) Spread the word about the Bazaar!

All donations are asked to be brought to the school by Thursday, Nov. 21st. There is no school on Friday, November 22nd!

Thank you for your continued support & help!

Also, during the week of November 11th, students will be bringing home tickets for sale for Gift Certificates (Atlantic Superstore $100 and Regent Mall $150).  Draw will take place during the Christmas Concert.  

Hot LunchOur school hot lunch program has been a

huge success with many volunteers preparing nutritional meals for the students here at LECS. THANKS VOLUNTEERS for all that you do!

Reminder that Hot Lunch orders are taken for a two week period. Also available for purchasing on-line.

Please remind your children about the school bus rules and expectations.

Bus rules : 1. Students must obey the driver at all

times.2. Students must respect the driver

and fellow passengers.3. Students must remain seated –

bottom to bottom, back to back.4. No yelling or foul language.5. Eating and drinking on the bus is

not permitted. 6. Toys must remain in students’ book

bags.

NUTRITION CORNER

According to the Canada Food Guide we should eat at least one dark green and one

orange vegetable each day!
