PARTNERS WELCOME

Dear Chamber Member,

It is our pleasure to work with you in the 200th year of Cork Chamber, as we continue to drive the business agenda for Cork.

This year marks a huge milestone in Cork Chamber’s history. Founded 200 years ago, by a group of businesspeople committed to promoting and supporting the best of Cork business, Cork Chamber has remained one of the greatest champions of the region’s business community ever since.

This year is not just about reflecting on the successes of the past. It is about looking at how the Chamber can support businesses to tackle the challenges of the present and about being ambitious for the future of the region. To do so we must be resolutely focussed on delivery.

Two hundred years ago, the population of Cork city was around 80,000, while current projections for the region estimate that with the right investment and infrastructure, Cork’s metropolitan area can grow to 500,000 by 2050. Facilitating that growth and supporting our members as Ireland’s number one regional lobby group will be at the core of the Chamber’s work in the coming years.

Throughout the entire history of the Chamber our members have been our reason for being. Today in 2019, our mission is to empower a successful, progressive and influential membership who drive a thriving Cork.

This Partner supplement celebrates the indelible contribution of Cork’s leading employers to this mission. Companies who play their role in putting Cork on a global stage through their outlook, footprint and ambition. A group that work tirelessly to promote and develop Cork; who clearly say that the timely delivery of the commitments in Ireland 2040 is critical to the attractiveness of our current offering and to securing our future success.

Throughout our history, Cork Chamber members have defined our agenda. You do so today.

Together, speaking as one voice, we can make Cork the best place for business.
