Jeremiah BorkeJeremiah has been a part of the GRHC team for 5 years. He is our Accountant in the finance department. Jeremiah is the treasurer for New Hope Church and he also does community work through his church when opportunities arise. He enjoys spending time with his family, sports, reading, moves, video games, and watching football. Jeremiah and his wife Laura have 6 daughters from a 13 year old down to a 1 year old. Laura teaches online courses at UW-Platteville and homeschools their daughters and he happily does what he can to help! The family recently moved into the house Jeremiah grew up in and they are enjoying the extra space and the few acres of woods.

Diane HeberleinDiane is being recognized for 5 years of service at GRHC as a Patient Advocate Rep in the patient accounting department. She previously served as a Registration Specialist. Diane is a member of the Disney Process team and is active in the Toys for Tots for the tri-state area. She enjoys many outdoor activities: bicycling, flower garden-ing, fishing and snowshoeing. Diane loves getting together with friends and family. Diane and Roger have family (daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter) that lives in Mississippi so they love traveling there to visit! Diane and Roger just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They have 3 children: Scott (42), Tesha (37), and Ryan (23).

They were blessed with their first grandchild this year, Ahna Lee Daranga, born in June.

Bobbie McMahanBobbie has been employed with GRHC for 5 years as a Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg and ER departments. She is active on the Decon and Emergency Management teams at GRHC. Bobbie is also a dedicated volunteer for the Lancaster EMS. She holds many certifications: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, PALS, CPR, and advanced EMT. Outside of work Bobbie enjoys spending time with her family, camping, and volunteering for EMS. She has been married to BJ for 9 years and they have Aubrie (10 and 4th grade), Logan (7 and 1st grade), and Bryce (2).

Tony PloesslTony has been a part of the GRHC team for 5 years as a Maintenance/Plant Operations professional. He serves on the Decon team at GRHC. Outside of work Tony coaches little league baseball and girls softball. He enjoys sports, hunting and spending time with family. He has been married to Missy for 17 years. They have 2 children Mya (14) and Quinton (10).

Nancy SoatNancy began her employment at GRHC 5 years ago in the Respiratory Department as a PRN Respiratory Therapist. She is active in her community as a girl scout leader, church lector, a religious education teacher for 3rd graders, a club volleyball organizer, and group leader for mission trips with a youth group. Nancy is a COPD educator and ACLS certified. Her interests outside of work include reading, woodworking crafts, antiques, watching football, traveling, gardening and hiking. Nancy and Merle have been married for 32 years. They have 4 adult children: Marcus, Eric, Micaela, and Erin. 2 of which got married this past year, so you can feel free to drop a monetary donation at her

table to assist with recovery effort. She has a grand puppy named Sophie, a grand bunny named Hemi, plus 3 grand guinea pics named Luna, Harriet, and Meredith. She has 2 dogs, Scarlett and Butler and a newly adopted kitten, Skittles. She plans on opening a petting zoo soon, so anyone who has a goat they want to bring, contact Nancy!

Five Years

Congratulations to the following partners for achieving milestones in their years of service to Grant Regional Health Center. Honoring a combined years of service totaling 480 years, we have much to be proud of! We are proud that our partners have chosen to continue their careers at Grant Regional Health Center; we are proud of their accomplishments throughout these years of service; and we are proud to be able to offer exceptional healthcare services because of their dedication and commitment to our hospital and our surrounding communities. Nicole BahlNicole has been employed with GRHC for 5 years as a Registered Nurse in Med/Surg, ER, and OB Departments. She holds many certifications: PALS, ENPC, TNCC, ALSO, STABLE, CPR, NRP, and ACLS. Her joys outside of work include making memories with family and friends; going for a walk with her dog; camping at permanent camp site at Lake Joy; going on jeep rides, and eating way too much ice cream! She has been married to husband Mark for 9 years and they have 3 children: Hanley (6 and in kindergarten), Jebsen (3), and Dempsey (8 months); and their dog Brock (9).

Tanya TennessenTanya is being recognized for 10 years of service at GRHC as a Licensed Athletic Trainer. She is an active member of St. Clement Parish and teaches at the local homeschool co-op. Tanya’s interests outside of work include their kids, books, curriculum, fitness and right now home remodeling. She is married to Mike and she is surprised every day at what a wonderful man he is and continues to be. They have six children: Annabel (11), Henry (9), Julia (6), James (4), Edward (2) and Vincent (7 months). And yes, all the boys are Thomas the Train names but they like to say that they are names of Kings. They started homeschooling the kids when Annabel was 6 & surprisingly

haven’t looked back. Tanya is PRN at the hospital but likes to get out of the house and it seems to work out for the family and GRHC. They reside outside of Lancaster and are lucky enough to have Grandma and Grandpa just a short drive away – Cassville. And since her mom looks SO young, you will be surprised to know that Judy Adrian is her mother and her sister, Angela Adams, is also a PRN Physical Therapist at GRHC.

Larry WagnerLarry has been employed with GRHC for 10 years as a Maintenance/Plant Operations Professional. He is active on the GRHC Emergency Management, Safety, and Decon teams. Larry proudly serves as a member of the Lancaster Fire Department. He is a Master Plumber, ASSE 6010 med gas installer, and an ASME IX Certified Brazer. Larry’s interests outside of work include camping, hunting, fishing, sport events, and firefighting. He and his wife Misty have been married for 18 years. They have 3 children: John (17, senior), Brent (15, freshman), and Eva (11, 5th grade).

Ten Years

Corey SchmidtCorey is being recognized for 5 years of service at GRHC as our Laboratory Manager. He is active on the Decon team, Disney Tools, Safety, Occupational Health Task Force, and Antimicrobial Stewardship committees as well as serves as a LEAN facilitator. Corey serves on the MLT advisory board at Southwest Tech and on the Parish Com-mittee for United Methodist Church in Stitzer, Livingston, and Argyle. He is certified to package and ship Category A infectious materials. Outside of work Corey is a home body who likes to be busy. He always has several home improvement projects in the works. He has had a lifelong interest in renewable technologies and self-sufficiency.

He and his wife have set a goal to produce all of the vegetables for their family from intensive gardening as well as produce all of their own electricity. Corey and his wife, Michelle live in the country near Stitzer (what he calls the Stitzer “suburbs”). Michelle is a loan officer with Fidelity Bank and Trust in Platteville. They have 3 children: Brianna, Robert (Bobby) and Bradley.

Kelli Spaeth Kelli has been employed with GRHC for 5 years as an Occupational Therapist in the Rehab Department. She is a member of the Disney Communication and Care of the Partner team. Kelli completes wheelchair assessments and hold women’s health certifications. Outside of work Kelli enjoys playing in a volleyball league, spending time with family, and boating on the Mississippi. Kelli has been married to husband Charlie for 2 years. They have a daughter Chloe (22 months) and they live in Bloomington.

Holly WhiteHolly has been a part of the GRHC team for 5 years. She is a Registered Nurse in OB and Med/Surg. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family, watching Packer football, or Wisconsin Badger football and basketball.

Inez MartinInez began his employment at GRHC 10 years ago as an Occupational Therapist. She is active on the Disney Settings team. Inez is active outside of work with 4-H, church, music boosters, and is the chairman for Fennimore Post Prom. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT). Her hobbies include quilting, crocheting, gardening, & family. Inez has been married to Dan since 2000. Children include: Michelle; Travis, Ali & Isaac. Michelle (Tom) and children Natalie (3.5) and Levi (6 months) live in Stewartville MN. Travis lives near Rochester MN and is a civil engineer. Alison goes to school at University of MN – Rochester. Isaac is a sophomore at Fennimore High School. Dog is Maya

(miniature Labradoodle) 2 years old.

Fifteen YearsMichelle BennettMichelle has been a part of the GRHC team for 15 years. She is a Certified Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Clerk on Med/Surg. Michelle served with the Lancaster EMS until January 2008. She holds BLS certification. Her interests outside of work include card making, paper crafting, and trying a new recipe occasionally. She has been married to Don since 1980. They have been self-employed for the past 40+ years until Don’s recent retirement in September 2017. Michelle enjoys her time with the grandchildren and the family pet, Baxley.

Carla JensenCarla began her employment at GRHC 15 years ago as a RN in the Med/Surg, ER, and OB departments. Her interests outside of work include family, friends and fun! Her husband is Jeff and they have 2 sons: Cam (20), and Jack (18).

Scott MurrayScott has been a part of the GRHC team for 20 years as a RN in ER and Med/Surg. Former positions he held at GRHC include daytime supervisor, director of safety, patient safety officer. Scott serves on the Decon team, Trauma committee and Disney Selection and Training committee. Scott is a TNCC instructor and has certifications in NRP, ACLS, PALS, ENPC and TNCC. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and watching sports (fantasy football). Scott is married to Jolene who is a math teacher at Potosi High School. They have been together for 32 years and they have 3 kids: Nate (24), Sadie (20), Cassie (16), and this year 2017-2018 school year,

their foreign exchange daughter Clem (15) who is from France.

Tonya SchlueterTonya began her employment at GRHC 20 years ago as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the Rehab Department and Massage Therapist in the therapeutics department. She is the lead of the Disney Settings team and a member of the Emergency Management committee. In September 2017 she finished her Bachelors of Science with a minor in Healthcare Management from Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan. She is a certified in Lymphedema Management and Infant Massage Instruction. She is Board-Certified Massage Therapist through the NCBTMB, which is optional, but has many good benefits. Tonya is married to Scot who is employed at 3M in Prairie and they have

a combined total of 4 kids: Justin (29), Justine (23), Abbigail (18), and Skyler (17). She has 4 grandchildren from her son Justin: identical 4 year-old twin girls Haven and Aurora, a 9 year old granddaughter Lylah, and a 6 year old grandson Landon. She loves doing projects with them (“Grammy crafts”). She also enjoys her extended family visits up in Appleton about every 6 weeks. They live in Mount Hope and are part-owners of the Schlueter family farm in Wauzeka, WI where a beef herd and crops are managed. They love to laugh, get together with extended family, and are always on the go!

Leah Ann MyersLeah Ann is being recognized for 25 years of service at GRHC. Her current position is Perioperative/Outpatient Manager and previous roles she has held include Surgical Supervisor and Surgical Registered Nurse. She serves on the Disney Selection and Training team. Certifications she holds include CNOR – Certified Nurse of the Operating Room; CMLSO – Certified Medical Laser Safety Officer; and RNFA – Registered Nurse First Assistant. Leah Ann has been married to Chris Myers for 17 years. She has 2 sons: Cody (23) and Tyler (21) and 2 step-daughters: Samantha (27) and Olivia (22).

David ReckerDave has been employed with GRHC for 25 years as the Occupational Health Coordinator / Licensed Athletic Trainer. He serves on the Safety and Wellness committees. Dave is a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist and a Certified Industrial Ergonomic Specialist. His interests outside of work include family outings and vacation, camp-ing, hunting, and attending outdoor concerts. He has been married to his wonderful wife Jodi, a teacher at Winskill Elementary, for 27 years. They have 2 sons: Jordan (23) who is finishing his graduate studies in Microbiology at UW-LaCrosse and Joseph (20) who is currently a sophomore at UW-LaCrosse pursing a degree in Biomedical Studies

to enter graduate school to become a Physician Assistant. They have lived in Lancaster for 26 years.

Machele SchmitzMachele has been a part of the GRHC team for 25 years as a Med/Surg CNA/Health Unit Coordinator and Pharmacy Tech. She is active in her parish council, is a church lector, and plays in the Potosi Community Band. Outside of work she enjoys walking, reading, quilting, spending time with family, and traveling. Machele has been married to Bob for 44 years. They have had a plumbing and heating business for 40 years. They are parents to 3 married children, have 5 grandchildren, and 2 dogs.

Laura SchultzLaurie began her employment at GRHC 25 years ago as the Director of Materials Management and Environmental Services. Former positions at GRHC include materials management assistant and materials management manager. Laurie is involved in the Safety, Infection Prevention, Emergency Management, and Wellness committees. She also serves on the Disney Process and Disney Tool teams. Laurie is a Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP). Outside of work she enjoys gardening, crafts, and family. She has a small family, just hubby (Bob) and she at home with their black lab Beauregard and 2 cats – Isabella and Skeeter. They have 1 adult son, Robert and

1 granddaughter Hannah. Laurie has 2 brothers and 1 sister (deceased). In their free time they enjoy spending time with family and just being outside (during nice weather); otherwise both Bob and Laurie enjoy working on puzzles and playing cards.

JoAnn WiederholtJoAnn is being recognized for 25 years of service at GRHC as a Medical Technologist in the Lab. Previous positions she has held at GRHC include Laboratory Manager. She serves on the Disney Communication and Care of the Partner team, is a member of the GRHC Auxiliary, and participates in the Foundation’s Festival of Trees. JoAnn is on the Fennimore School Board, CESA Board, Fennimore Area Foundation Board, Family Promise of Grant County volunteer, and Depot Exchange volunteer. Outside of work she enjoys running, walking, hiking, biking, traveling, knitting, quilting, and grant writing. She and husband Jack have 3 children Jackie, Josh, and Jake as well as

grandchildren Owen and Audrey.

Twenty Years

Twenty-Five YearsAnnette (Missy) KliebensteinMissy is being recognized for 15 years of service at GRHC as a RN. Missy currently is the Staff & Community Education/EMS Liaison and prior to this position served as a staff nurse in Perioperative department. She is active on the Safety and Falls Prevention committees. Missy proudly serves on the Potosi Rescue Squad as an Advanced EMT and the training director. Further she serves on the Potosi School Board/CESA 3 Rep. Missy is AHA Training Faculty/ Instructor for BLS and ALS and is a TNCC and ENPC instructor. Interests outside of work include attending their sons’ fine arts and sporting events as well as EMS work. She is married to her partner in crime, Dan. They

have 3 handsome sons – Steve and Danny (16) and Tommy (13). They have their critters Raji the cat and Sampson the dog. They live in Potosi and enjoy time making memories with their families and “living the dream”!

Joyce WalterJoyce has been employed with GRHC for 15 years as a Food Service Worker and she is Food Safe Certified. Her interests outside of work include spending time with grandkids, walking, and bike riding. Her 3 children are David (Kate), Nick (fiancé Allie), and Shannon (significant other James) and she has 3 grandchildren: Khloe, Ansen & Harper.

Diane ClarkDiane began her employment at GRHC 40 years ago and serves as a pharmacy technician. Previous positions held include CNA/Health Unit Clerk on Med/Surg & OB. She served as an EMT for 15 years. Diane’s interests outside of work include flower gardening, fishing, hunting, and her grandchildren. She has 5 children: Shelly (Jason) Holmes and their 6 children (Colton, Felicia, Spencer, Mercedes, Cayden, and Paisley); Tyson; Angie Frain and her child Jocelyn; Brandon (Jennifer) and their 5 children (Jayden, Devon, Declan, Drake, and Lettie); and Hillary (Tyler) Smith. Diane has been with her very special friend, Randy White, for 9 years.

Marian HoffmanMarian is being recognized for 40 years of service at GRHC as a PM Cook. Marian recently retired on December 29, 2017. Her interests outside of work include sitting around a bonfire, talking and laughing, being with family & friends including a very special friend Holly Little. Next summer she will be going in the semi with Holly. Marian is widowed and has a daughter Angie Cooley, son Brian (Sheryl), and grandkids are Blake Cooley, Dakota Hoffman and Cheyenne Hoffman. Marian has really enjoyed her years of employment at Grant Regional and states now it’s time to do what she wants to do. Thank you Marian for 40 years of service and we wish you the BEST in retirement!

Laura SchildgenLaura has been employed with GRHC for 40 years as a Registration Specialist for Specialty Clinics. Previous positions held include her start as a Unit Clerk, then to Specialty Clinic to Registration, and back to Specialty Clinic Registration Specialist. Laura is involved in the United Methodist Church. Her interests outside of work include spending time with family and friends, all types of travel – from day trips to long travel, and checking off items on her bucket list. Laura has 3 children: Amy, Jeff, and Jennifer as well as 2 grandchildren: Phillip and Laken.

Forty Years

Jane FarreyJane has been employed with GRHC for 30 years currently as materials management assistant. Previous position held by Jane was that of Accounts Payable. She likes to exercise daily. Jane and her husband Tim have daughter Shannon (24) and son Nathan (21).

Donita GruenderDonita has been a part of the GRHC team for 30 years as a RN. Donita just retired on December 12, 2017! She was passionate about nursing, especially OB nursing, childbirth classes, and serving as our Lactation Consultant. Donita is married to Fred and their children are Gunnar and grandson Gage; and Amber (Jonathon) Veasley. Thank you Donita for 30 years of service and we wish you the BEST in retirement!

Thirty Years
