INTRODUCTION

The Guide has two goals: • To increase awareness of your Finastra

partnership in the wider financial services market place.

• To generate demand for your FusionFabric.cloud application from our combined customer and prospect base by maximising the impact of our joint marketing activities.

There are a wide variety of marketing benefits available to you as part of the Finastra FusionFabric.cloud Partner Program. These include use of the Finastra corporate and FusionFabric.cloud logos, web promotion, press activity, potential joint collateral and customer references, along with attending select Finastra-hosted events. These benefits and guidance on how to implement them are described in this guide.

Helping to grow your business and monetize your applications

This guide is designed to help FusionFabric.cloud partners and developers engage effectively in joint marketing activity with Finastra.

Please take the time to read this guide carefully, as there are some simple requirements that we need our partners to follow. The guide is clear about these obligations but if you have further questions, contacts are provided. From time to time benefits may be added or changed, so please ensure you are working with the most recent version of this document.

Build your reputation and generate leads

Brand and Awareness There are a number of key elements that will help you raise awareness of your participation in the FusionFabric.cloud Program, communicate your status as a trusted application development partner and to associate yourself with the Finastra brand. These include:

• The Finastra logos you are now able to use. • How you communicate and promote

the partnership through marketing collateral and on your website.

• How you use PR to raise awareness of the partnership, customer wins and other news.

• How you promote your business and your application in the FusionStore.

• Participating in Finastra’s ongoing marketing Programs and activities.

The Finastra Logos Highlight your status as a leading financial application developerFinastra will provide you with access to the corporate and FusionFabric.cloud logos. This enables our partners and developers to promote their relationship with Finastra.

The FusionFabric.cloud partner logo symbolizes the Finastra relationship with, and commitment to, our partners. It communicates the strength of our relationship and the proven expertise of our global ecosystem of application partners.

Partners can use the appropriate Finastra FusionFabric.cloud partner and/or Finastra corporate logo on sales and marketing collateral, documentation, advertising, event signage, and other promotional media to distinguish themselves and signal their relationship with Finastra.

There are a number of guidelines that need to be applied by our partners in order to ensure the Finastra and FusionFabric.cloud logos are correctly used. Please carefully read and follow these guidelines. Finastra strictly enforces compliance with its corporate identity. Detailed guidelines on how to apply the Finastra corporate logo and the FusionFabric.cloud partner logo is available in the FusionFabric.cloud Partner Program ‘Logo Usage Guidelines’.

Website Promotion Promote these credentials on your websiteWebsite promotion provides partners and Finastra with the ability to promote their company, solutions and capabilities, and highlight their relationship with each other.

Finastra FusionFabric.cloud partners are encouraged to integrate the Finastra corporate logo and short company description in a prominent area of their website. This will differentiate you from other organizations and developers in the financial services marketplace.

If partners demonstrate their commitment to the FusionFabric.cloud Program, through visible and sustained promotion on their own website, it becomes easier for Finastra to incorporate links and other cross promotional activity in our own marketing activities.

Please use the following description on your website and collateral to signal your formal status as a FusionFabric.cloud development partner.

<Company Name> is proud to be a FusionFabric.cloud development partner.FusionFabric.cloud is Finastra’s platform for open innovation, it enables collaboration between banks and industry leading application developers.

FusionFabric.cloud opens up Finastra’s core systems, to enable the development of a new generation of innovative financial applications.

Press Releases Use press releases to earn media coveragePress releases provide an opportunity for Finastra FusionFabric.cloud partners and developers to achieve further visibility for their company, solution and relationship with Finastra through coverage in earned media, both online and in print.

Press releases referencing Finastra and FusionFabric.cloud must be approved by Finastra.

Press releases may cover topics such as: • The announcement of the partnership. • The launch of your application. • Customer wins and success stories. • Upgrades to your application or new

features added. • And/or other newsworthy topics.

Before you write your first press release, look closely at the media you would like to cover the story and understand their criteria for selecting ‘news’ for coverage. The better you understand the requirements of the journalists you intend to target, the more likely you are to earn coverage.

Finastra’s own PR team is expert at earning coverage in the financial services media around the world. They will review all copy and may contribute to the content of your press release, including adding an endorsing quote from a Finastra spokesperson if appropriate, and/or make recommendations on PR best practices and tactics which will help you to maximise potential coverage.

Approvals Partners must ensure they follow the guidelines described in Appendix A and gain approval from Finastra prior to distributing any press release mentioning Finastra or FusionFabric.cloud.

Use of the Finastra name and brand is an important benefit. Finastra makes considerable investments in building its brand and protecting its trademarks and copyright around the world. Consequently, any partner which issues a press release mentioning Finastra or FusionFabric.cloud without the formal written consent of Finastra may be subject to penalties, which may include suspension or termination from the Finastra FusionFabric.cloud Partner Program.

Coverage We love to see the editorial coverage arising from our partners efforts. It also provides Finastra with opportunities to further promote each partner through links to successful coverage or mentions in other FusionFabric.cloud marketing materials. Once we have agreed your press release, don’t forget to share your great results with us.

General Guidelines • Any announcements referencing

Finastra, its platform or solutions have to be approved by the Finastra PR team.

• Partners should allow a period of ten business days for the approval process.

• Partners should factor into their timings a period of an additional three business days between the final version being approved and the distribution of the announcement. In order to maximise your coverage, Finastra’s PR team may advise on release dates to be avoided.

• All approvals must be in writing. In most cases this confirmation is completed through email.

• If a customer or third party, such as an analyst is quoted or referenced, it is the responsibility of the partner to gain the required approvals from that third party.

• Finastra does not distribute partner press releases on behalf of the partner and because of data privacy regulations we cannot share press lists or media contacts.

Press Release Approval Process • Partners should first complete the

appropriate information in the press release template in Appendix A.

• Finastra will review the news release and respond within 10 business days with comments.

• The partner should then send the final version of the press release in the format in which it will be distributed to Finastra – at least three business days before the expected day of announcement. Finastra will agree and confirm the distribution date.

BoilerplateThe boilerplate is used on press releases to provide a clear, consistent company descripton and contact details for quick and handy reference by the media.

The following Finastra boilerplate must be added to the bottom of any joint press release (see Appendix A). Usually this will be alongside your own boilerplate.

NB Boilerplate does change over time, please ensure you are using the most current version. If in any doubt ask for confirmation when discussing the press release approval process and the Finastra PR team will advise you.

Customer EngagementEach year, Finastra undertakes a substantial and comprehensive series of global marketing Programs worldwide, promoting its portfolio of solutions across all major regions. Within these Programs and activities there are opportunities to identify and highlight our partners and their applications.

Wherever possible Finastra will incorporate FusionFabric.cloud, our partners and their applications within these Programs taking place in different regions and countries. These activities include engaging both existing Finastra customers and new prospects in the broader marketplace.

The Fusion Store Promote your applications through Fusion StoreOne of the most significant benefits of becoming a FusionFabric.cloud partner is the ability to market your business and applications directly to customers through the Fusion Store marketplace.

The Fusion Store marketplace is the focus of Finastra’s investments to promote our partners’ applications. It can be easily searched by prospective customers and users, to find the applications that solve their bsuiness requirements.

Details of how to create and build a credible presence in Fusion Store are described in the FusionFabric.cloud Partner and Developer Program Guide. We strongly recommend that all partners invest effort in building a strong presence in the Fusion Store.

Additionally, spend time in considering your pricing model and promotions such as ‘free try before you buy’ periods, or how to encourage users to give your application positive ratings and comments.

These promotional techniques are new to many enterprise software developers but have proven highly effective in application marketplaces.
