• Higher National Diploma (HND)• Foundation Degree• NVQ level 5

Level 4 is equivalent to a first year degree level. Qualifications include:

• Diploma of Higher Education• Specialist professional qualifications• Honours Degree

Level 6 is equivalent to a degree and Level 5 is equivalent to a second year degree level. These qualifications include:

Depending on your circumstances and/or which course you wish to take there may be a fee to pay for your course. If you do have to pay your own fees there are a number of ways you can pay. This could be with a loan (details on page 9) or we can help spread the payments out with an interest free payment plan.

Our main campus is centrally located making it a great place to study and easy to get to. It’s just a short walk from the parks, cinemas, cafes and shops (including West Quay). Being in the centre of the city there are a number of ways you can travel to college whether you live in Southampton or further afield.

bicycle or motor bikeWe are a 10 minute walk from West Quay and the High Street, so any bus route that goes into town will be able to get you to City College.

Southampton Central railway station is a 20 minute walk (approx) from the college. Alternatively, Woolston station is a 5 minute walk from our Marine Skills Centre and 20 minutes from our main campus.

The Hythe and Red Funnel ferry terminals are a 15-20 minute walk to the college.

There is limited on-site pay and display parking, however there are nearby pay and display car parks as well as on-street metered parking bays.

We have bike huts on campus so you can secure your bike, motorbike or moped safely.
