    3.0 SHALLOW FOUNDATIONS

    )ll shallow &oundations should e designed as per IS Codes o& Practiceand as per Soil Inestigation report considering all critical co"ination

    o& loads. In case o& e*pansie soil ade!uate protection+ proisions o&

    suspended &loor at ground &loor shall e considered. Trans&or"er

    &oundations+ reaer &oundations+ should e co""on ra&t &oundations.

    4.0 EQUIPMENT STRUCTURES

    esign o& e!uip"ent structures should e done as per ISB' 7latest8

    considering e!uip"ent load+ sel& wt.+ operation and "aintenance load+

    short circuit load and wind ; seis"ic load. In designing the structure

    &or wind ; ses"ic load. In designing the structure &or wind solidit

    ratio 7as per ISB'(# Part III8 should e done. )gain the structure

    should e designed in seis"ic condition also as per ISB1',3 1,'4.

    6.0 CONCRETE AND REINFORCED CONCRETE FOR

    STRUCTURES AND FOUNDATIONS

    $.1 >eneral

    including &inishes+ possessing re!uired strength and resistance to

    weathering and arasion &or the structures and &oundations.

    $.1.2 esign o& all rein&orced concrete structures shall e as per the latest

    ISB4#$ 728. The structural sa&et o& all &oundations on soil shall+ in

    general+ e ased on ISB1,4 - 1,'$. The design o& water retaining

    structures shall e according to ISB33( 7Part 28 - 1,$#. For

    rein&orce"ent ce"ent concrete+ the "ini"u" grade o& concrete shalle @-2C 7with 2 "" / down grade aggregates8 and &or plain

    ce"ent concrete shall e o& @-1#C 7with 2 "" and downgraded

    aggregates8.

    $.1.3 For calculation purpose 90oring Stress esign: or 9Di"it State

    throughout.

    designing structures and &oundations either the e&&ect o& seis"ic &orces

    11.0 WATER PROOFING AND DAMP PROOFING

    12.1.2 )ll the stor" water drainage+ sanitar-&aecal sewerage and other

    e&&luents sewerage lines shall e laid in serice aisles close to the road.

    Crossings with other serices shall e ept to a "ini"u". 0here the

    new lines are to e connected to the e*isting ones+ the connections

    shall e carried out the Tenderer.
