Lanka. Samudra expressed his inability and advised him to take help from Nala the son of Viswakarma (Chief Engineer and Chief Architect for Devas) to build a bridge across the sea.
ABSTRACT FROM RAMAYAN
Rama requested Nala to build the bridge.
With the guidance of Nala the Vanaras brought boulders from mountains, Sala trees from forest and made the bridge in five days.
A Distance of 112 Yojanas (180 KM?).

On the first day they laid the bridge a length of 14 Yojanas.
This part is made mainly of mountain rocks.
