• Planning for the hospital began in the early 1960’s
• In 1974, Delta Municipal Council and the Greater Vancouver Regional Hospital District (GVRHD) jointly purchased the land where Delta Hospital sits today.
• Mountain View Manor, 75 bed extended care hospital opened in 1977
• Delta Hospital officially opened on September 5, 1980

• 3 Operating Rooms for Day Surgery
• CT Scanner (64 slice)

• Rapid Access Clinic
• 92 bed Residential Care facility

Plan: Phase I
• Renovation, reconfiguration and expansion of Diagnostic Services to meet the projected demand and incorporate best practices
• The result would be services that are capable of meeting the anticipated increase in health care demand through to 2030

• 1.2 million tests were performed
• Over 220,000 were public drop-in tests
