Who is Team Wingman
• First Bike MS was in Oct. 2012 with Chris, Andrew, and Rudy we raised $12K
• We grew the team to 26 riders who raised over $50K in 2013
• We had 81 riders who raised over $150K in 2014 • This year we have 104 riders and are over $160K
on a goal of $200,004 • I continue to be inspired by all those living with MS
who are not only on my team, but also those who I meet along my journey to FUND a cure for MS.
MS kills connections… Connections kill MS!!! • With over 20 cyclists living with MS we are able
to bring an aspect to show why and who you are helping when you donate money, time, or products.
• Several riders who are out in memory of a family member are special advocates to companies or friends with companies to donate product for FUNdraising.
• Give the companies a reason to enjoy their donations or the fun it creates.
Your Team is your main RESOURCE of ideas and volunteers for FUNdraising
• Talk to your team, get to know them and you will realize that either they or someone they know has the ability to take care of all aspects of the team. When you do this t helps entrench them into your “Family” and helps generate more interest from their contacts.
Having a platform for ideas
• We have hosted fundraising parties in order to gather and have an open forum of events and ideas. Great time to socialize and realize talents of your team. It also gives the opportunity to write out a calendar of events in order to not overlap so much.
Ask, Ask, Ask • Participate in Community/City events.
– Market Days, Car Shows, BBQ Cook Offs, and Parades, etc.
• Local Restaurants love helping locally • Chain Restaurants usually have a fundraising
program in place • Local breweries love giving away beer • Does your company have a matching program?
– Why not? – Partner with HR
Organize your team for success through committees
• Formed a Board of Directors: – Operations – Communications – Advocacy – Rider Safety – Training – Treasurer
