9 WAYSTO AVOID A PARKING TICKET

1. Watch and follow signs.

2. Parking permit (hang tag) must be displayed all times.

3. Know parking options – meters, parking lots, and parkades.

4. Do not park in accessible parking spots without the required permit.

5. Ensure your permit is hanging correctly.

6. Respect meter times. Remember to allow enough time to leave and reach your vehicle before the time expires.

7. Parking Enforcement has a zero-tolerance policy about parking or stopping in a bus zone. If you park or stop in a bus zone, your vehicle will be ticketed, and possibly towed.

8. If you are unsure of your parking choice, find another spot. A poor parking decision can lead to impacts on others and a ticket for you.

9. Plug the meter for more time than you plan to be parked in case of delay.
