Depression can appear to be dementia and displays differently than depression in younger adults. Major depression prevalence doubles over age 80. Family members, familiar objects and calm words may help delirium. Delirium can be reversed if you can find the source. To reduce dementia risk: look after your heart, be physically active, follow a healthy diet, challenge your brain, and enjoy social activities.

What is your favorite aspect of working at Park Manor? Working with residents. I've learned so much from them over the years. I love hearing about the good old days.Where is your favorite place to travel? The beach, especially Gulf Shores, AL.What is your favorite meal? Steak and salad. What's something people don’t know about you? I'm the only sister of four brothers, and I have two granddaughters. If you had to swap places with anyone in the building who would it be? Nurse Manager Walter Wilson. I love how he's hands-on with our residents and takes time to check on them, whether they are in or out of the building.
