QUEST centers around a “three circles of love” theme, calling the young people to reflect on love of self, love of neighbor and love of God. 2017 Italian Winterfest Local Memphis restaurants and beverage distributors will join together for the 7th Annual Italian Winterfest benefitting the Catholic Education Scholarship Fund and Ave Maria Home on Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 5 -9 p.m. at The Racquet Club. Italian Winterfest was the vision of the late Angelo Lucchesi, Tony Barrasso, and the late Sam Bomari-to. More than 14 restaurants and 1,000 guests are expected this year. The evening includes fine cuisine from Italian and local restaurants, wine, dancing to traditional Italian music by Tony Barrasso and Mike Spano, and a Live Auction hosted by WMC-TV News Anchor, Joe Birch. The 2017 Honored Guest of Winterfest award will be presented to Mayor Jim Strickland and the Outstanding Service Award will be given to Bishop Emeritus J. Place unused eye glasses (including Sun glasses) and hearing aids in the recycle box provided by World Cataract Foundation. To Date: 3,041 pair of eye glasses and 22 hearing aids have been recycled by Nativity parish.

Our St. Vincent de Paul chapter is an active and viable part of the Bartlett/Raleigh community. Because the need for assistance is great, you can now donate to this worthwhile organization at anytime throughout the year

by going to the webpage and donating through our Online Giving option and selecting the St. Vincent de Paul button. If you so choose, you can help offset the processing fees by selecting that option as well. Thank you for your continued and generous support of Nativity's St. Vincent de Paul chapter.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Memphis serves a meal every day of the year at our Food Mission at the Ozanam Center at 1306 Monroe Ave. Volun-teer Teams serve between 125-225 guests each day. Many guests are homeless, hungry, and in need a shared smile and gentle spirit. We are seeking volunteers to help serve our guests on weekday mornings. The time commitment is 8:30-11:15 am. Or just show up at 8 am at Nativity on our serving day and carpool to the kitchen. On 20 December, 6 volunteers from Nativity fed 144 . The next Soup kitchen is 01/03. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd ages 3 yrs to 12 yrs, and Confirmation 1 and 2 begins August 14. Parents are required to dedicate 5 hours of service per year. Wow-Let Me Count the Ways

Gift of Life (www.giftoflifemidsouth.org) is a Rotary based project that provides life-saving heart surgery to children who suffer from congenital heart defects. These children come to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital from third world countries that lack the facilities and expertise to perform this life saving surgery. Catholic Charities of West Tennessee is collaborating with Gift of Life to recruit people who would be willing to take a meal to the FedEx house at LeBonheur for one or two persons, a few times each year. Volunteers will be notified via e-mail when a child arrives in country and directed to sign up at www.TakeThemAMeal.com if they are available.
