Challenge with the high school schedule includes electives.

o There is overcrowding in some high school classes. If needed, advocate for a larger space to accommodate students.

Challenges with the middle school include math/language arts interventions and keeping houses pure.

On Thursday, the counselors will be able to focus on balancing class numbers. Although it appears to be simple, it is a complex process to switch a student from one period or another.

Students need to complete a half-sheet for scheduling issues. The student will return to class.

SPED

A large district shift with software. Middle school students have been pulled for direct support for math and language

arts. One teacher will push in for science and social studies support. High school has roughly 60 mild-moderate students and 20 center-based students.

o There are two high school special education teachers: Dr. Donna Barney-Dicianno and Salha Mishaan.

o Concern is that high school students need credit. IEPs are coming. It is a longer process than anticipated. If schedule changes needs to be made for students with Special Needs, contact their

case manager. o 6th: Alex Saltzman o 7th: Regina Martinez o 8th: Shirley Richard o 9th: Salha Mishaan o 10th-12th: Dr. D o Center-based:

Multi-Intensive Middle School: Dr. Adrienne Bryant Affective Needs and Multi-Intensive High School: Frannie Fallon

As a school, we are short three paraprofessionals. It is important to follow the discipline ladder for all students. Utilize Tawrence

White as a resource for Restorative Justice. It is possible for teachers to pull rosters of students who are identified as ELD or

SPED. UIP- Plan of Action
