• The 2016/17 applicant fee is:

• £13 for one choice

• £24 for up to five choices.

May 24th 2016 Applicants can register and start to complete their application.

1st September Schools can start to submit completed applications to UCAS.

15th October Medicine, dentistry, veterinary sci/med and Oxford or Cambridge.

19th July Students can start their application forms.

1st October Deadline for some Music courses, and some drama related courses.

1. Register to Apply on UCAS.com and start the application form.

2. Students complete the six sections on the UCAS form.

3. The student pays for the form to be sent. WHS will attach the reference and the predicated grades.

4. The university will then process the application form.

5. Through UCAS Track, students will then receive offers. This could be a rejection, or an offer (conditional or unconditional)

6. Students reply to their offers when they hear back from all five institutions: Students make their Firm and Insurance choices.

Final few things to consider

• Work experience – professional bodies, charities or at events

• Finance – course fees, grants, travel and living costs (Student finance runs from Jan to May in 2016)

Some training providers have deadlines. E.g. Gen2 close their applications the end of February.

Other than this, applying for an apprenticeship is like applying for a job – deadlines will vary and

will be at different times of the year.
