President’s Challenge 2017

Joshua Chang’s (3N1) painting was submitted for the President’s Challenge and clinched the Merit award.

All Singapore Secondary Mathematics Competition 2017

Abdul Wafiy B Ramlan of 3T1 achieved Top 20 at the All Singapore Secondary Mathematics Competition For Normal Course Students.

Media Computing (MEC) Competition 2017 (Game Category)

Lim Zhong Hui of 3T2 has received the Silver Award for the Media Computing (MEC) Competition 2017 (Game Category) organised by MOE.

Singapore Junior Water Prize 2017

Marvyn Chia, Yeo Swe Hon and Zane Chua of 3E1 took part in the U-15 category. The school has won the 1st prize for the second consecutive year.

Opening of JOULES Smart Centre

The first green classroom of its kind in a school. Built in collaboration with Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC)’s consortium of green building professional firms and product suppliers, the energy-efficient centre will serve as a unique classroom for students to learn green solutions

Energy Efficiency National Partnership (EENP) award

Bukit View Secondary School (BVSS) received a commendation for best energy-efficiency practices in the public sector in this year's EENP awards.

Singapore Polytechnic Scholarship (Engineering) - Kang Boon Kiat Julian, class of 2015 (4E1) Feb 2017The award recognises students with excellent academic achievements, outstanding leadership qualities and significant accomplishments in co-curricular activities. He is currently pursuing a Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at SP.

In Feb 2018, Julian Kang’s start-up, MakerFoundry, won a competition, organised by the SSTA and aerospace firm Airbus, on the use of space technology for disaster relief.MakerFoundry developed an app that allows people to access satellite networks to report their location after a disaster.

Seah Wei Heng, Class of 2015 (4E2) received the NYAA Gold award 2017 from President Halimah Yacob on 3 Nov.The National Youth Achievement Award(NYAA) Gold Award is the pinnacle of NYAA programme, which is an award for self-improvement and effort.It aims to encourage students to develop personal qualities of self-reliance, perserverence and sense of responsibility to themselves, to society and to the nation.

Cheak Yen Hui, Class of 2009 (4E1) has been awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal for Best Performance in general proficiency throughout the programme of study and for attaining First Class Honours in the Bachelor of Arts (Education).
