Meetings with students beforeMay 25th to discuss research and choices with students.

A Country is NOT a Safety

We encourage global-mindedness; however, we recommend that students and parents narrow university

choices down to ONE country.

At the end of the day a choice must be made.

A country and its universities are not “safeties”.

11

How Many Schools?

The DCI Network has a policy of 10 applications per student.

Yield Research Finding Fit

Recommended 6-8 by The College Board

Rule of Thumb: 2 reaches, 2-4 targets and 1 safety

12

Types of Applications

ED – Early Decision *Binding*EA – Early Action

RD – Regular DecisionRolling Decision

Varies from country to country, but ED is recommended and statistics show a substantial difference in acceptance rates

Outside Services

We encourage parents take full advantage of our Career and University Counselling services.

Outside agents are extremely expensive.Outside agents often claim they have and “in” or

“connections” at universities

21

Outside Services

Before you commit, do your research and ask yourself what you would be paying for…..

This following is a real example of two students who with the same intended major and their results
